Hello! Shifting a few settings to make a night-time variant and I've noticed that the models/map_objects/yavin/yportal.md3 is still obnoxiously bright. I tried placing a negative light in there, but that doesn't appear to make a difference. Is there any way I can reduce the brightness on this?

Try setting _rs 1 on the model, though I doubt it will work. I've noticed that some models seems randomly either full bright or completely dark, regardless of the lighting. Huge mystery.

I assume this is a misc_model? Maybe give spawnflags 4 a try to make it lightmapped instead of vertex-lit...

 

I just gave it a try and sadly it didn't turn out the way we had hoped.  :(

Check the shader of this texture .. maybe it has weird lines or something... Or Just use _remap spawnflag in Radiant. Maybe that will work ;)
