Archangel35757 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 If you don't have it already, or have never played it... you can save 10% on XWA now at Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/mobileagecheck/mobileapp/361670/ I also would highly recommend downloading all of the upgraded assets (XWA Upgrade Project) from ModDB. I also have all of the tools needed to mod XWA if anyone has difficulty in finding them.
NumberWan Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 GOG.com also announced 70% on many Star Wars games on May 4. They also promised to add new games.
Grab Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Star Wars Saber Bundle is 76% off right now. There is Star Wars Colletion 2015 - same price + Mysteries of the Sith + Clones Wars + both Force Unleashed. Steam > Gog.

Just to add these two sites have the upgrades as well. http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ http://www.darksaber.xwaupgrade.com/ I prefer this one just cause there are way more ships added. DrXann Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I'm surprised they didn't add Shadows of the Empire and the Phantom Menace game on GOG.They may or may not be good games but you can't find them anymore aside from Amazon and Ebay.
Archangel35757 Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 Hmm... An important message regarding the XWA Steam released version ( incompatibilities ) was posted on the XWAUP site: http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ Looks like XWAUP craft packs & DarkSaber UCP will only be compatible with GoG version of XWA.
IrocJeff Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 You can also still buy the original cd-rom on Amazon or E-bay, too, if you can find it cheap enough.

minilogoguy18 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 X-Wing Alliance is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for any Star Wars fan, easily the best SW flight game. I own the original, it's one of those games that's so good that you kinda want a physical copy of. Archangel35757 likes this
Circa Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Not a big fan of flight simulator games. Otherwise I'd be all over this.
minilogoguy18 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I'm sure a lot of people of the current gaming generation would find it too difficult of a game. Even with a joystick every button on the keyboard does something, then every button again while holding shift does something else. A star destroyer in this game is something you pretty much wanna run from in this game and the Executor will make you shit your pants with fear when it's surface starts lighting up like a christmas tree from all it's laser batteries. Hell, even a relatively lightly armed Immobilizer 418 or Victory class star destroyer can tear you to pieces if you don't know what you're doing. Archangel35757 likes this
