Daedra Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I know there are modders here that create new maps and playermodels/skins, and they would like a video showcasing the Mod. I will offer this service for free. Here are some examples of my recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFklfjO3Ywk& https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH5E4pnSlEc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--MXwYnAfdY Things to note: 1. Please only contact me through a Private Message here on JKhub. 2. You must provide a WORKING download of the modification you want me to record in the PM. 3. I will ONLY RECORD SINGLE PLAYER, I do not use Multiplayer so understand that. 4. I mostly will only record new Maps and Skin/Playermodels, but anything too small like Hilts will be no good as it will be difficult to see on the video. 5. Please be patient with me! It takes time to record, compress and upload the complete video, but as it is finished, you shall receive a Private Message from me containing the youtube video link, where you have the option to use a Youtube video downloader, OR you can just use the link I provided. The videos will never be removed. Thank you to JKHub and all of the community here, be happy continue to love Star Wars!
Futuza Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Not meaning to come off as rude, but the fps on those example videos is very poor quality - which is usually something you want your demo to look good with. Bek, Sithani, z3filus and 1 other like this
Cerez Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 You'll need either more RAM in your computer, @, or a better recording software. The FPS is rather poor indeed... But I wouldn't like you to give up on it. I think it's a great idea.
JediBantha Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 @ I'd check newegg.com for new parts if you haven't already... I'd say you would either need a new graphics card, processor, or like @@Cerez said, extra RAM.
Ping Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Just use /cl_avidemo 30 and convert the frames to a video instead of relying on third-party programs. Cerez likes this
z3filus Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I like the default stance animations, but that idle animation, standing + breathing :'( I want it.Also that map in the first video, is just breathtaking, you should release it as a duel map, unless it's already released...

What you see is what you get for free. z3filus likes this
Sithani Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 No offense either, but I suggest you find a way to record the game smoothly and present the content a little better (since anyone can start the game and run around with the saber while recording ;/) before offering such service But yeah it's a good idea, just try to evolve it

This is free and still clearly shows what needs to be seen.
Ping Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Just look up avidemo and that's that. No need to be professional or have a high end pc. This goes not only for you offering your services here but for any other recording projects you might have. There is no excuse recording a video at 2fps. Sithani and Cerez like this

I have no idea how to install or set it up.
z3filus Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Well I have something in the near future you could record, I'll be in touch. Daedra likes this
Daedra Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Well I fixed some problems, I can now record 60fps 720p with no watermarks, but there are some slight lag issues sometimes but that's not really a problem since the image is clear enough. Ping and Cerez like this
afi Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I found it but it downloads as a .jar file. I have no idea how to install or set it up. avidemo is a command.cl_avidemo 30 it is. Or you could use jaMME Cerez and Daedra like this
Daedra Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 avidemo is a command.cl_avidemo 30 it is. Or you could use jaMME I fixed it. Using a HD Codec with CamStudio, I have what I need, a few minor lag issues but nothing major.
Cerez Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I fixed it. Using a HD Codec with CamStudio, I have what I need, a few minor lag issues but nothing major. I'll be looking forward to your videos. It's always a joy to catch a glimpse of new cinematic talent. Glad you found a way to fix the FPS issue, though I would still give @@Ping's suggestion a shot. It's a great idea. That way there's no overhead processor and memory usage by a second software. JKA does a fine job recording video on its own. You just need to learn how to process it. In your case it would give you the speed boost you need to record smooth video. Here's a good, detailed old tutorial on how to film in JKA:http://www.chopshopservers.com/education/video_editing_tutorial_by_commodore/
Ping Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I had no idea their tutorial was still hosted. That is really quite nostalgic. As for the recording: Using jaMME fixes everything. Just give it a shot. Cerez likes this
