Akimoto Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 As a web developer i find that chrome is one of the few browsers that actually display's things correctly. It is easy to blame the browser but 9 times out of 10 it is sloppy coding that causes the problems. Unless its Internet Explorer, then 9 times out of 10 it is the browser! Are you a student, or an fully educated web developer? I might head into the same profession ^^ To avoid getting off topic:I like opera, google chrome and firefox all alike. I use opera most of the time, and have firefox and google chrome installed in case of emergencies.

I use opera most of the time, and have firefox and google chrome installed in case of emergencies. Have a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science, worked for a year as an ecommerce web designer and am now in the process of setting up my own web design business Currently focusing on an ecommerce platform that i used in my previous job, but do also do general stuff i think its a great profession, its surprising the jobs you can get when your not attached to a large company! On topic: i always used to use firefox, then it seemed to go downhill, tested chrome for my daily browsing (had it installed for web testing) and set it as my default after about an hour of using it. Looking at getting a chromebook for work purposes as chrome can do so much. Akimoto likes this
Azatha Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I use firefox. I tried chrome once, but I just didn't like the layout. My dad, however, still uses netscape...
Astral Serpent Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 net..scape..?Wow, that's just nostalgic.
Azatha Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I've tried so hard to get him to switch, but he refuses. Also has yahoo mail.. sigh.
Azatha Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Won't work, because he won't even update programs he has. If anyone touches his pc and chances it in ANY way, even moving a desktop icon, he gets flustered and freaks out.
Malkav Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Well if he has his own PC, he's not compromising your security, so it's his business. If anyone touches his pc and chances it in ANY way, even moving a desktop icon, he gets flustered and freaks outGee, I wonder why.
Azatha Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Ha well, his computer barely runs with what he does to the thing, but if he wants it that way.. *shrug*
therfiles Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Do what I do. Install Chrome, replace its icon with the netscape icon, tell him it's just a new version of netscape. Do this. Except with Firefox.
neoxrave Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 *throws the chrome ball in every firefox users' faces*

therfiles Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I've decided to give Chrome a try. After a pitiful internet speed test, I am willing to try something new.
CaptainChar Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 so im curious, why does everyone hate IE thesedays? and if your going to make claims, id like to see some technical data to back you up for your browser's choice I have IE, Firefox, and Chrome on this machine, mind you my pc is still running XP and ive not made the jump to 7 yet (fuck win 8)
spior Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 It's pretty much leftover hate from when it was the lowest of the low.I hear IE10 is (going to be) pretty good, but I wasn't much on the interface.
Azatha Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I've started using Chrome.. I got curious.. I like it. <__< MUG likes this
