GalenAltaiir
Are there any other programs besides EffectsEd that can be used to create special effects? Link to comment
Xycaleth
No. Unless you want to write the efx files out by hand. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
What trouble are you having with EffectsEd? Some people have a tough time getting it set up but that's about it and like said above the only other thing you can do is just use notepad but you won't be able to see your finished effect, it's only really good for making edits to existing effects. Asgarath83
The baddest thing of EffectEd is the program has not an Undo Command. So if yu delete an effect component for error, yu can only hope of havent's saved after.also, have not an append function for merge 2 effects together, need to copy a efx file by notepad in the file yu are editing. >.<but for the rest is not much bad, also if not show much sprites correctly. mmm, well, is not a good tool, but sorry, there is not a substitute for EffectEd. eezstreet
I mean, the files are plaintext. I'm surprised nobody's made an editor in like Allegro or SFML or something. Though granted the effects aren't too too advanced, there's no splines or anything (though you can easily do stuff like this using SP mods) Link to comment

minilogoguy18
@@Xycaleth shouldn't bother with this, it's not a big deal. Besides, we need FBX-->MAP first. Link to comment

minilogoguy18
Blender sucks, I don't wanna install something like that just to convert a file, I could already do that with MS3D Link to comment
