minilogoguy18
That's pretty crazy, I may have to put this on my HTC one. Link to comment
Stoiss
i tryed the demo out on my samsung gs 2 was pretty hard to controle on the phone EDITtested it with the orginal files works perfect Link to comment
Circa
Whoa. That's sweet. I wonder how long it will take for Google to pull it. Although they are a lot more lenient than Apple with stuff like that so maybe they won't do anything. Especially since it doesn't include the game. That's pretty dang cool though. It's exactly how I envisioned it on a touch device. Link to comment
Onysfx
Nice nice. That does look pretty hard to control though. I wouldn't imagine playing JKO on jedi master xD. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
So which button do I click to not get barraged with spam and ads on the second link @@Mert-K? Link to comment
Stoiss
this link [snipped link]just dl that one and go in to you download folder and install it from there, and then it will say where to put the assets files so you can start the game idk if the data files is needed at all i didnt use it Edited November 30, 2013 by Circa Removed link to, in turn, remove illegal risk Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Yeah I just tried the demo and it takes some getting used to, stormtroopers can be challenging even on padawan just because of the awkward controls but it automatically downloaded the demo assets. Link to comment
Mog
Oh wow....This will work beautifully on my Nexus 7! Well done! Link to comment
mrwonko
Nice! I see there's gamepad support. What about mouse & keyboard? Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Didn't read any but IMO a PS3 controller via bluetooth will work great, it's how I actually play both JO and JA on my PC, I just mapped it similarly to the XBOX versions of the game. Although guns are a hell of a lot easier to aim using a keyboard and mouse but most of the SP games you're using saber. EDIT: Anyone else having trouble launching the game? It ran fine once but now when I try to play the demo it just crashes back to the main screen, sometimes I can at least get the lucasarts logo before crashing. Link to comment
Omicron
This looks rather awesome. Shame my phone can't play this. Link to comment
Ory'Hara
do you need jka's assets for this? Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Yes you need JO's assets, there isn't a JA version yet but if people buy enough copies of the JK2 version he said he'd do JA. You should probably take down that free link, $2 is really nothing to pay for this. Even if you don't have JO you can have fun playing the demo, the Alzoc 3 mission is kinda fun. EDIT: I think they catch onto you if you have that free version, it only worked once, I bought the game now though and it works fine. Link to comment
Ory'Hara
the free link should be kept up, lol. put it on 4shared Link to comment
mrwonko
the free link should be kept up, lol. Why? It's fine to make money off your work. He just has to provide the source code as per the GPL, but to my knowledge only to those who buy the program. (Although they are then free to redistribute it as they see fit, provided they keep the license.) Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Besides, like I said, the program seems to be able to check if you have a license, the free version stops working, uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't stop this. If you don't have $1.95 then you got bigger life problems than playing JK2 on your phone. Circa and Shadzy like this Link to comment
Circa
Can someone else verify that the one in the link stops working (like mini said)? If not, I will have to take that link down. Sorry. Don't want to risk anything. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
^It pings a server for updates it seems after playing around with it, after uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it would work it wouldn't let me download a needed file to use the software so I bought the full version since I liked it. I also sent in a request and he should be releasing a new version any day, there was no button to switch saber styles, he emailed me back and said he was going to try to implement it ASAP so the one up there will be outdated anyway. EDIT: New version out, you can now switch saber styles. Circa likes this Link to comment
Circa
Alright. I removed the link anyway. @@minilogoguy18 you should recommend joining JKHub to him. A lot of members could test things and give requests like that here. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Not sure if he'd be interested, seems like he's porting a lot of quake engine games. I also used a mod btw, works fine, Hapslash's stormtrooper. Lightsaber dueling reborns is pretty tough with touch screen, I imagine Tavion and Desann might be literally impossible using the touch screen controls even on Padawan setting. I at least have a phone with a large screen, I'd imagine an iPhone user would find this unplayable. Link to comment
Circa
Oh I see. I bet it would be enjoyable on a tablet. I have KOTOR on my iPad when it released and I love it. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Yeah, I really hope someone will port the KotOR series to Android, RPG's are much easier than action games on tablets and phones. Circa likes this Link to comment
Mert-K
Whaha, soon JO and JA will be on mobile phones and tables all over the world. Modding on the go. xD Link to comment
Apprentice
Sure would've been nice if it didn't hang on the required update thing . . . Link to comment
