hleV Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (Dunno if I should've necro'd this thread or created a new one, so... I created a new one. Having read the rules, it doesn't seem like I should give a damn.) In both JO & JA, the top and bottom of the cutscenes get cut when playing in widescreen (16:9 in my case). Isn't it possible to fix that by making it display the cutscenes in full height while increasing horizontal FOV? Or are cutscene-exclusive maps not suited for displaying moar than they should? I'd also like to put 1080p JO & JA cutscenes on YouTube, and right now it's kinda inappropriate when heads get cut in half.
Circa Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I don't have that issue in widescreen... The cutscene-exclusive maps are suited for that, for the most part.
Tempust85 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I always just have my monitor aspect ratio set on auto, and run JKA in non-widescreen. Would be nice to have full support for widescreen in OpenJK at some point.
Circa Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Okay, so I'm confused. I'm on Mac with the App Store version. Did Aspyr add widescreen support?
hleV Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 ↑ Exactly what I want (though I'd like to see a 1920x1080 variant, as the one above is 1440x900). I'm now not even sure if it's Mac-exclusive or I'm doing something wrong (on Windows 7).. r_mode -1 r_customwidth 1920 r_customheight 1080 cg_fov 95 // Increasing this has no effect on cutscenes.
Circa Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Weird. I have no idea. I was hoping other people would have more info. @@redsaurus?
hleV Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 No. How do I even launch JK2 SP with OpenJK? I got the retail version. It shows no text in the main menu and I'm unable to start the story mode. Setting FOV doesn't change anything for JA (OpenJK) cutscenes, though.
ensiform Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 You don't launch it with OpenJK. You need to build the OpenJK with jk2 support yourself. (Separate exe and renderer with modified jospgame)
