  1. I'll take a look and see what I can do.
  2. I actually darkened my first version and adjusted the collar a bit. He should be uploaded soon.
  3. I guess my knowledge on 2.8 is rather limited. I was just repeating what I heard. Having never personally used 2.8, or if I have I don't remember, I guess I wouldn't really know this for certain. Just wondering, what kind of benefits does 2.8 have?
  4. Either way I am well adapated to 2.6.
  5. I've heard that the default saving for 2.8 is to an XCF file or whatever GIMP uses and you have export the image you are working on if it is a JPEG. I've also heard that when saved as JPEG from 2.8 it can't be used without saving it as JPEG from another type of image editior.
  6. Making a skin isn't too difficult. Considering he looks quite similar to Rosh you already have a base to go on. First thing I recommend you should do is download GIMP. Preferably the 2.6 version. The 2.8 version makes saving rather complicated. However if you don't like the look of Rosh you are better off searching for a model/skin that already bares his likeness. I don't know who exactly that would be. I'll keep my eyes peeled for something that might work. But I think what you really need is a tutorial on skinning. That is probably the best place to start. Try going through this and see how it goes: http://jkhub.org/tutorials/article/79-keys-introduction-to-skinning/
  7. So are using JKA for this or Jedi Outcast for the mod? Will the amp goggles and binocs work in JKA?
  8. I hope no one minds me posting this here but ever since DT85 started the Dark Forces II mod, I wanted to pitch in and help. One particular thing I knew I could do was create a skin of the alternate Gran that appears in the game. After going off the JK enhanced version as reference I came up with this: Let me guys know if you have any feedback on this guy. Rather simple I know. But it would be a useful addition to the game.
  9. First, you will need to download a tool that can open pk3 files. I would suggest this: http://jkhub.org/files/file/89-pakscape/ Second, open Pakscape and use it to open Assets 1. After you have done that go to ext_data and then go into npcs. You should find Tavion's npcs in that folder. Now you can either edit the npc file with word pad or download the NPC tool. Either one will do. Change the model name of Tavion's to the model you want to replace her. For example if I wanted to replace Tavion with an Imperial Officer, I would replace the model name with "imperial". Do the same thing for the sounds. As far as sounds from The Force Unleashed go that is a bit more difficult to do. Let me know if you have understood this.
  10. Yeah it could be done. I am assuming you want the replacement to be for Jedi Academy. If so, all you need to do is replace Tavion's npc with whatever Starkiller model you want. The only concern has already been mentioned. That being Starkiller will sound just like Tavion, unless the audio files are changed.
  11. Looks cool. Just a heads up though, the sign in pictures #1 and #3 are upside down.
  12. Nice. JKA could use some more earth-based guns.
  13. He honestly looks a bit like Sean Klitzner to me. At any rate, looking good. You really dish out models fast.
  14. I got your model and I am so psyched to tinker with it! I love how detailed it is, it really gives Haps' model a run for its money. The only thing I would have liked to see was an ammo pack for the shoulder pauldron. But maybe you'll do something like that later. I think I heard you mention something about a Sandtrooper. Anyway, thanks so much for this model! You rock!!!!!
  15. Cool. I've been tinkering around with a Stormtrooper Commander I think I finally got the right color blue on him. However, the chest section of the Haps model is set up kind of odd and makes the symbol on his chest look rather off. It will work for a first draft but I bet it will work a lot better on your model.
  16. Hey, DT I know you have been busy with Mara and Luke but I was wondering how your ST was doing? I hope I'm not being a bother by asking.
  17. Yeah I think I should have been more clear. I think was going for more of a "worn" armor rather than a battle damaged one. Maybe I'll make a battle damaged one some where down the line.
  18. I've been working on other projects at the moment so Gregor has not been my primary focus. That said I have not forgotten about him. I adding some camo to Gregor's helmet it is looking good so far. No pictures of him just yet. Mainly, Gregor just needs some updated camo on his backpack and some more camo randomly put across his armor. As well as the remaining tally marks. However, I do have something to show off. I remembered how people have been wanting a battle damaged Stormtrooper and since I have been also having troubles with the Stcommander and Incinerator Trooper from TFU. That main reason I found to be because they both need damaged armor otherwise they just don't look right. So here are shots of three skins that have been damaged let me know which one you think is best. The last one I think is my favorite.
  19. I wonder if the DF2 team still has some of its assets that they never finished? I also know that JKG has the Sequencer Charges and I believe the DF2 Concussion Rifle. I wonder if they would mind letting you borrow them?
  20. Yeah it would be nice to have some more members around here from older websites. But, I guess we will have to make do.
  21. Yeah, I think Ibanez was the guy I was thinking of. I wish his stuff would have gotten out to the public. It really was excellent work.
  22. I remember there was a guy on Lucasforums who did great work on some of the first view Jedi Knight levels. However, since Lucasforums is pretty much dead now, it is unlikely that he can be reached.
  23. It looks like, compared to the reference shots, that the main part of Luke's belt is straight and not slanted.
  24. Yeah, most of the stuff has already been done before in the current Clone model. But I think we really need a firm Clone base before we start adding the other equipment. I sure hope DT85 or somebody else picks up this idea.
  25. So I think I have a pretty much full list of all the equipment needed to make the perfect Clone model. It's rather big but anyway, here it is: Clone Needs: Airborne Torso Band Airborne Helmet Airborne Ammo Pad Airborne Satchel Arm Ammo (seen on Bly) AT-TE Gunner Helmet (Phase I and Phase II) ARC Trooper Gear (Gauntles kilt packs etc...)
