  1. It's meant to be for swords. Changed the title to something that better conveys what this tutorial is about, thank you for the help though, mate.

  3. This is mainly a tutorial for adjusting PHYSICAL WEAPONS like swords, staves, pretty much anything that isn't a lightsaber, things like this: Or this: Not really for this: Or this: For those wanting to find out how to change your LIGHTSABER length, go here: https://jkhub.org/wiki/index.php?title=.sab With that said, let's get into the tutorial! This is a tutorial to show you how to stop the blade at JUUUUUST the right length (the tip, or end of the weapon, obviously), so you don't end up hitting your opponents with the air if it's too long... ...or hitting them with the hilt if it's too short. ? So, everyone knows you can change your saber's length using a .sab file, this is obvious, but how about a sword? Kind of unpredictable, because the length doesn't show since it's a physical blade, right? Unless! When editing your .sab file for your sword or bladed weapon, add this to it: (noBlade "0") no parenthesis. So it should look something like this (this is my own .sab file for a sword that just got ported): Adding that simple command adds a saber blade that you can see even if there's a physical blade there, this blade can be increased and decreased according. This is it at saberLength "90": This is it at saberLength "50": As you can see, the SABER blade changes length, while the physical sword length stays the same, so all you need to do is keep changing the length till you get right down to the tip of the sword. This will also work with weapons that have multiple sides/ends, like a staff, double-bladed sword, and even a shield or hammer. If you're using a SHIELD or HAMMER, you may want to make use of the "saberRadius" command, which will widen the SABER blade until it's at the same wideness as the physical weapon. If you're using a weapon with more then one side/end, you'll need to make use of "saberLength2", "saberLength3", as well as "saberRadius2" and "saberRadius3". When you need to remove the saber blade for good in favor of your physical weapon, change it from: noBlade "0" to noBlade "1" Hope this helps, ya'll!

  5. I was gonna wait till the new hands were finished, but I can't hold back my excitement any longer. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... Comes with: Dragon's Tooth Sword (extremely close to being an exact recreation, though obviously some liberties were taken to modernize it.) Custom sounds featuring some of his best one-liners and sounds from Deus Ex for the Dragon's Tooth Sword. Functional Mouth. NPC, Team, and Bot Support. Jedi Academy accurate hands. 6. I mean I'd have to find the actual model first, I don't model these. These are all ports. Then I'd have to get my friend who shall not be named to help me.
  7. Will consider it, he's from Twilight Princess as well? All of the swords have issues so they'll be updated.
  8. Because it's fun to play as your favorite characters in said star wars game?
  9. Jeff these are some SEXY models, man.
  10. Deadpool?: https://www.models-resource.com/pc_computer/deadpool/model/13915/
  11. Updated the thread, Darknut has his weapons. @BlindDaThief @TheWhitePhoenix
  12. Link's been done before, so has Ganon, but idk about Zelda, lol.
  13. Usually SP support means "making them available as the main character", as in they'll take Jaden's place/be Jaden as the player when you start the game and at the start of every level. If not maybe they meant NPC.
  14. Thanks dude. Hoping to update it with weapons soon. It has bot support and NPC support.
  15. Darknut from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: Felt this one fit Jedi Academy best (weapons finished!) Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k5d3iszffdekysi/Darknut.pk3?dl=0
  16. Exactly. Those who ponder star wars match-ups, or pretty much any match-up between people with swords don't need to look any further then Jedi Academy.
  17. I really don't think it "had to be said", considering what you said is common knowledge, but being able to port a model, considering much of JKHub can't accomplish even that (these days majority of them are retired, left JKHub behind, or just can't be assed), and the fact he did it as fast as he did, is impressive. I've never once came out and said that porting is more impressive then modeling, but I am going to express gratitude when models that I want are ported, or even models that I don't want. I'm much more impressed when stuff that doesn't look half as good as this is modeled, btw. I'm mainly impressed because he's managed to make playable models that have too many verts or such, and made them playable, models I've literally seen people point out as "impossible", he has literally done in this thread. The novelty of having Marvel characters also helps with the increasing popularity of this game. Think about how popular G-Mod is, Jedi Academy is near that level of customizability, but due to lack of models it can never reach that height. Jedi Academy, due to it's far superior combat mechanics using guns, lightsabers, swords, melee weapons, had and may still have the possibility to surpass G-Mod as THE game to mess around in. I literally haven't PLAYED Jedi Academy for over a year, I legitimately get on just to watch bots and NPC's fight, it's entertaining, and Jedi Academy is one of the only places where the combat mechanics are good and can be customized and modded like crazy. GTA? Crappy combat, can be heavily modded. Skyrim? Can be modded heavily, crappy combat. G-Mod? Can be modded heavily, crappy combat. Left 4 Dead 2? Can be modded heavily, good combat but you're restricted to fighting hordes of monsters/zombies no matter how much you mod it. Battlefront II, Fallout NV, etc etc etc, etc, etc, etc. None of these can give you the satisfaction of simply screwing around AND being fun to play and engage in at any moment. The blocking, the dodging, the endless models, sounds, the hits, different stances, it's insane, and it's awesome!
  18. Maybe Thanos' double-sided sword?: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3617514
  19. You are doing God's work here, buddy.
  20. I like this. It's about as accurate as you can get with using the direct source material.
  21. Not a samurai outfit, more like a western warlord that has a katana. This one is more samurai and has a more samurai feel to it.
  22. Will do buddy, glad someone recognizes the potential in Jedi Academy beyond just Star Wars characters. Sorry for my lack of spanish by the way.
  23. Could you do Moon Knight?: https://www.models-resource.com/mobile/marvelsfuturefight/model/18050/ OR Maybe Ares from DC? https://www.models-resource.com/mobile/injusticegodsamongus/model/17997/ Finally, maybe Darius from League of Legends?: https://www.models-resource.com/pc_computer/leagueoflegends/model/6694/ Not all of them of course, just trying to give you some ideas as to what to do next.
