That's the problem. Most pads available are too big. It will need some expert to create or modify existing ones.
-
Hmmmmm....Indiana Jones anyone????
-
I can try to find shoulder pads, can't add them though, i gave up on modeling a long time ago. Texturing and searching for model assets is what i can do.
Cool! Do you think you can take a look at the arms textures? I still don't like how the straps and gloves came out and on the inside where both borders of the texture touch, you can see a dark line.
-
try maybe arc clone shoulder pads from mb2?
Downloaded it once, didn't liked it. Extracted Kylo Ren (after hours trying to figure out how to) and deleted it.
For the next few weeks my time will be very limited so anybody willing to help is welcome to.

ModView does not display shaders at all, although you can enable transparent textures in the options somewhere.
Thanks a lot for the information! I barely use Modview (although I am trying to use it more lately). I always test things directly in-game.
Just a "newbie" here trying to figure tings out.

OK, I found out what the problem was....I forgot to turn off the 2nd skirt on the Default.skin file. It should be fixed now. Still shows weird in Modview but should be fine in game. Link updated, hope I get the link tags right now.

hi @@ShenLong Kazama
I haven't found a suitable shoulderpads (they are so small they look like part of the chest armor).
As for the shaders, I am not really sure.It doesn't shows any problems in game (as far as I can see) for both skirt versions (both use the same textures and shader). I can't never get models to show completely fine in modview, even the arm armor transparent parts show as black in modeview but they show fine in-game.
Anybody else having problems with the shaders?
BTW, I have no idea about shaders. I am just using the original model shaders. I've read a few tutorials but I can't get my head around it.

Thanks a lot mrwonko!
I did it from my phone. I will check it whenever I have a chance to go home. I might have to go to pick up some stuff so I will try to check it. If not I hope to be back sometime tomorrow or Sunday.

So here is what I have. It still needs some work. I should be back in a couple of days so I can try some more, although with my limited knowledge and tools, it will take me a long time. Is the plain model with no special animations. I've included both versions of the skirt, the single short skirt and the split skirt from Seven. Inside the model folder, there is a backup of the torso with plain arms (no gloves/straps).

Notes:
- The Hub doesn't likes mega links so much so you will need to copy the entire URL and paste it in your browser instead of just click on the link.
- HUGE thanks to @@Seven for all his help.

Sorry man didn't know that. Well i could work on the textures, that's all i can do.
Thanks. That's what I was trying to work with, improving the textures (with limited knowledge and tools). I will include a backup of the arms (torso) textures without modifications just in case.

*Checking thread for updates*
I have a family emergency and might not be able to work on it for several days so I will try to upload it tomorrow morning in case someone wants to improve it.
-
Looks great! Will have to add it to my saber pack this weekend.
-
Actually i'd prefer the model without backhand animations, like the standard anims more.
Some people do. I am planning to include both versions (if i get the permissions) like the Starkiller pack I uploaded in the files section. That way people can choose the version they prefer.
I like to provide as many options as possible so everybody is happy (at least most people).
I would also have to include the normal animations version anyway in order for it to work with single player in game cutscenes.
-
Ok, I will work on it on the weekend. I was also thinking on adding option for the 2 different version of the torso section (since I can't decide which one looks better). All of them.
I PM'd AshuraDX and Katanamaru and asked for permission to use their respective parts. If not, I will share it without the backhand animations.

3D model is not working as smooth as I thought, I will stick without it for now and deal with that later.
I have one Question: Seven also split the skirt in 2 parts as in the original model. Which version do you guys like best? "Single" skirt or "split" skirt?
Below is a screenshot with "split" skirt. Please let me know.

I think I found the problem. Even thought the file has textures for both arms, both forearms seem to be using the texture for the left arm (the arm without the "tatoo") and I was testing with the other part. I added the texture just to the left arm and it shows on both arms.
I am also attempting to use an actual 3D part from another model to simulate the straps but don't know how to cover the entire object and as you can see below, the top/bottom borders show without textures.
-
Good news guys!
@@Seven was so kind as to help me with the arms! Now I can continue working on it.
Here are the not so good news...
The strangest thing is happening. I don't like how the arm "straps" so I am trying to them. The thing is, I modified the textures (torso_red.png) and replaced the previous in the pk3 using Packscape as always...but when I fired up the game, it still shows the "old straps".
I replaced the texture file with a backup without straps and the straps don't show, as it should. Then I added the straps to the same file, placed in the pk3 again and guess what? It still shows the arms without straps.
I removed the texture file completely just to check I am not crazy (well, crazier than I should) and the arms become invisible as they should, so I am not sure way the strange behavior with the straps textures.

Thanks!!! I just found the model here in the forums and the lightsaber in the files section, mixed it, added the backhand animations from Seven's Jedi adv model (I'm told is from Movie Duels) and Katanamaru's animation for the dual sabers, some tequila and that's the result!Wooooooo, that Sith Lord looks awesome.

Thanks guys for the support with this attempt! I've PM some of the Big Guns asking for suggestions about how to deal with the hols in the right arm. Hope there is an easy way around it. Any suggestions from anyone are welcome too!
I also looked at the original read me file from Darth Shiftee and it doesn't has an email address but it has the following so I think we are good on that one:
Permission
You can take apart this thing and do whatever you want with it, as long asproper credits are given for my work. Now I need permissions from:@@katanamaru: backhand animations@@AshuraDX: TFU 2 Lightsaber@@dark_apprentice: model headAs soon as I get everything, I will share the model!!! -
Here is what I have so far with my limited experience. If you look at the right arm/hand, you can see the holes on it. Any suggestions?
Also, just for fun, my Sith/Lord stalkers
I know, I know...they are supposed to be based on TFU 1 and have only single backhand animation, but what the heck, I made both versions just for fun (although I use only SBH animation to make it as similar to TFU as possible)!
-
I added some "straps" amd gloves but I'm stuck with the arms. The arm from the original model has holes in the arms and although I tried to hide them with using textures for tje inner parts with the same color as the arm, sometimes you can still see the holes.
Also, I would like to get permission from @Darth Shiftee. I left him an IM but I see he hasn't logged since April. I will see if his email address is in the original model and try that.
I also will like to get permission from @@AshuraDX for the lightsaber, @@katanamaru for the animations and @@dark_apprentice for the head. I think @dark_apprentice will have no issues, but I still own the proper respect.
If I can get the necessary permissions, I can set up the model for upload, but is far from perfect. Any assistance getting the permissions will be appreciated.
Just as a side note, I also added the backhand animations to the normal sith stalker and the Lord stalker (Hoth outfit) versions (having fun with that one) using the sith stalker backhand saber. I will post some images when my ISP service is restored (posting from my phone). -
I've been procrastinating making a final decision on which version of ren's blade i want to put in the final release for awhile now, so finally trying to make a decision so i can release this mod..I've posted a number of my original versions on here pages back and a newer one recently. So here's another newer version i made with a screenshot of my original for comparison, lemme know what ya'll think.
This one is similar to the recent version i posted but with a bigger core
And one of my original ones for comparison
I personally think the one in the screenshots at the bottom is page 23 looks better.

textures/common/glass { qer_editorimage textures/common/glass2.tga q3map_tesssize 48 qer_trans 0.5 surfaceparm nonopaque surfaceparm trans q3map_material Glass q3map_nolightmap { map textures/common/glass2 blendFunc GL_ZERO GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_COLOR } { map textures/common/glass2 blendFunc GL_ONE GL_ONE tcGen environment } }
This is exactly the shadder I am using. It looks fine from the SP Saber selection menu but once in the game, it is barely visible.

Link??
I think is here, not sure if there s an updated version: https://jkhub.org/files/file/2669-dark-apprentice-jedi-academy-models-pack-official/

What would be the Punisher based on? The comics or the movies? Would be cool a Thomas Jane and/or Ray Stevenson version(s).
Or if based on the comics, a more realistic/military version like the story arc (forgot the title atm) After Frankencastle when they send the avengers after him.
