What is love?

Tieing the value of x to the things it brings about, but then saying that the things it brings about CAN be good does not exclude the value of x being negative. And if you don't exclude love being bad, then you cannot say that it is a gift. As for seeing energies: I don't think experiences with energies are transparent, i.e. I think they require intepretation, and if so, then their framework has to be evaluated. Bottom line is though that I don't think said framework is defensible.

@Corinthians: What I meant by vague with my previous comment was that what is translated as 'love' in the Bible is the term agape, which is not romantic love, and since the only love our pathetic culture values and talks about is romantic love, it is reasonable to assume that this is the topic of this discussion as well. Mention of agape is therefore either irrelevant or unhelpful without additional stuff.
