      You must practice the art of drunk mapping fu. I did it with Massassi. It's more than possible.

       

      Map out core room setup first, then work on the little details after. Should make it easier for yeah.

  4. So apparently KotoR always had support for bump mapping, but it just wasn't used. Who knew?

      Think of it like, a shader using photoshop textures over the main texture. It adds more depth in terms of looks. Bricks jut out, some wear/wall damage, etc instead of just a flat texture. Optical illusion for graphical detail, sorta.

      Also the fact modders in JK would have to learn a new engines code plus the editors for maps etc and transmit the time it took people do that in JK, years, onto doing another game engine. More time spent editing a game, less time playing it and community interaction.

      Porting game content to any game with good modding is possible. But full scale content, which you will have to do, takes real work.

      Closest your getting to JK4.

      No one is going to truly help you with porting content to another game engine. And if it gets big enough the owners of the IP will shut it down. If you don't comply they will pursue legal action.

      Well someone call someone up, can't get the door combo to work. I already read the guide for the atlantica one. The JO one uses slider blocks instead of a key combination. The if's in the combination just aren't registering to open the door. Lol I'm just tired of getting not results :X

  15. I think I just might be able to squeeze in a full remap and setup of ex_jedi_temple before christmas. No more teleing between areas either. What does everyone think of that?

      Teleporting between areas, when setup with an area portal between the tele lines, doesn't reduce fps drops anymore then area portals between doors. Besides, fps did drop in ex_jedi_temple anyway since there was no area portal between tele points. Also just cause I remap it, doesn't mean you can't still use the original.

      I have entered the room. It's just more so backdrop, far as I see it though I don't doubt an RP server ever using it crazy enough. FPS only drops as ramikad stated via the portals. The room itself never displays till the door is not only opened but till you walk into the portal itself. Try it on other maps open a door and stand in the area portal. Those are there to aid in the game rendering different areas and more or less hiding areas till you walk through the portal or the doo...
