  1. The two tutorials have been approved, just an update for you guys.
  2. LA getting shut down was good news to me, mostly because I figured that the source release might happen (and it did), and we would see great new titles from third party developers (which has also happened). If you consider the B-grade crap that LA has been shoveling out lately (Star Wars Kinect and TFU 2), it's not hard to miss anything when that was their future. I predict that once the new movies come out, we will see a very aggressive push by Disney to get more third party developers (not just EA) on board.
  3. I don't know the process in SP. I assume the process is largely identical.
  4. Just call G_RadiusDamage? @@katanamaru, changed
  5. It's legit, see the link below (it's from a book which has a foreword by George Lucas and was written by an ex-LA employee)
  6. entire style.
  7. General: You may NOT: Charge money while using a SW copyright, unless you have express permission from DisneyPort from any BioWare game (yes, they will sue you!)Redistribute the original game assets for freeYou MAY: Ask for donationsRecreate the original game assetsReverse engineer the original .exe file (legal gray area)Use the Star Wars IP (no formal action taken against any Star Wars mod projects, such as Star Wars mod for Starcraft) Game: You may NOT: Release a standalone game which uses the original assets (unless you require the original game)You MAY: Release a standalone game which uses a modified GLA/skeleton (legal gray area, you can acquire a GLA for free off of most modding sites. Raven hasn't commented on this) There's no chance of people getting sued over making models, people have been making models for years using the Star Wars IP.
  8. OP updated, two new tuts currently awaiting authorization.
  9. Get better internet. Done. I don't know what you mean? 90% of this is up to the user, so there isn't anything I can effectively write a tutorial for. Making a new behavior class is a very easy matter, but actually putting it into practice is more of a user thing and what they want the AI to act like. Adding his custom GLA animation isn't a code matter, it's a modeling matter and is out of my scope for these tutorials.
  10. Mars can be found on this site: http://www.jediknightii.net/ Looks like the old files section is dead, which is a shame because I really loved that map.
  11. yea i dunno. Maybe they were the same game at some point? (Jedi Knight III: Jedi Outlaw?)
  12. Don't know how many people knew this, but Jedi Knight III was apparently planned, and Jedi Master was a spinoff series that eventually came to be The Force Unleashed. Unknown source, appears to be a book of some kind. Possibly a retrospective of Lucasarts. UPDATE: Source appears to be legitimate, here is a link to the book. UPDATE 2, @@Fighter, could you change the name of this topic to "List of Lucasarts canceled games; includes Jedi Knight 3"
  13. You'd need lots of new animations, but code-wise it isn't too bad I suppose.
  14. bump, taking requests
  15. I probably shouldn't be on this forum period if I get like this, seeing as how I get plenty of requests / help wanted ads in my PM box. Still, I'd like to see more people take the initiative, like I mentioned. Anyhow, I admire that you're taking the time to handle it.
  16. My sentiment is, and I presume the sentiment of others is, is that it would be great if you could take the time to learn how to do even a simple thing such as NPC modding. In my opinion, when people take the initiative like this, they are demonstrating that they care enough about the game to make new/different content. I like to see other people that care, personally, and I wouldn't want to see my efforts go into one person's 2-5 hours of enjoyment. I like to maximize my reach however I can. Also, I don't think people want to spend time making something as simple as this? I dunno, there's some people that might take up the request, it just isn't really my cup of tea personally.
  17. I suggest making more stuff into detail. Looks like you've made so many splits in the vis that the compiler is having a hard time.
  18. With the amount of time used to write up all those posts, you could have had a big chunk of the work done already. It's not even that hard to begin with.
  19. Looks suspiciously similar to the one from Project Nevada/the retexture pack that I had a while back.
  20. Single player is nice when I want to do a replay of the JK2 campaign. JKA is just plain awful to me.
  21. Aside from the pipes in the last picture, the texturing looks perfectly fine. No, my biggest gripe would have to be the lighting, especially the level of ambient light (which is too freaking high) and the lighting in the hallways, which looks off.
