  1. Have fun wasting time fixing errors then. It took me four hours to fix all of them for SP, as I recall.
  2. You aren't going to be able to compile the code so easily. I suggest you use OpenJK's code as a base, as there's a bunch you'll need to fix otherwise, I believe.
  3. All of this is very ridiculous. Don't include the .md3 or the .map if you don't want, as they're source files and not needed by the game. That's it.
  4. It uses headswapping code, among other things.
  5. LOL at first pic
  6. You'll have to change the vis up a little bit, ya.
  7. Looks pretty good so far.
  8. He's just trying to get his groove on. Can't blame him.
  9. Get CMake GUI version, set "Source directory" to the folder which contains codemp, code, and codeJK2. Set output directory to /build/. Hit configure. Select your compiler. Then set your settings, and hit Generate. It will create files in your /build/ directory.
  10. This...is pretty darned awesome. Good work, redsaurus!
  11. protip: use CMake and follow the compile guide...
  12. Are you using CMake to generate the .vcxproj files?
  13. Looks like they straight-up lifted it from JK2. I think they are using them for nostalgic effect.
  14. Don't worry, it's just Ory'Hara being a fool.again. I agree to some extent. Jan looks "better" but I would have liked it if they made Jan a little less low-poly.
  15. Unpin me, plz. We have a new forum which is accessible via the JKH bar.
  16. Interesting, I wasn't aware of the link between it and GIMP.
  17. Have you tried this yet?: Well, what from that thread did you try? There were multiple solutions posted in the thread. How are you launching the game? Are you using a .bat file? Are you running OpenJK by chance? EDIT: This is in the wrong section, it really belongs under Jedi Knight Tech Support.
  18. Errr...dayum what? Not all of us associate "GTK" with "GTK Radiant", you know. Especially Linux users or anyone who's worked with any kind of GUI programming at all. Granted, "GTK Texture Question" kinda implies that it's involving GTK Radiant, but if someone says something like "GTK problem" or "GTK issues" or "I can't get GTK to work", that kinda implies that they can't get GTK to work on their computer, not GTK Radiant (hell, Radiant requires that you install GTK anyway to begin with, so go figure) gtk is shit anyway
  19. thread title is weird, just like minecraft carry on
  20. It's harder as opposed to just using the transparency settings that Photoshop usually uses.
  21. PNG is compressed, TGA is uncompressed. Putting a PNG in a PK3 is therefore redundant as the PK3 is already compressed. Both formats offer transparency, TGA is harder to manipulate and deal with in Photoshop. Sidenote: Why do people shorten GTK Radiant to simply GTK? That's like shortening Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy to simply "Star Wars". It literally doesn't make any sense when people shorten it down like that. (fyi: GTK is a UI environment, has nothing to do with the tool itself, other than that the tool uses GTK for its UI. It's called Radiant.)
  22. The format allows for infinite LODs, at least file-wise. There isn't a set limit, but I'd imagine it's close to ~2 billion or ~4 billion.
  23. You can get potentially infinite LODs in Ghoul2, the problem lies with that the engine is hardcoded to only use 3, however you can easily change the limit as I'm aware. It definitely loads however many LODs you throw at it though, just doesn't use them.
