Keep in mind these aren't finished yet. But I think they fix the main complaint people had with this model.

Wicked. Some actually GOOD TFU models will put an end to a lot of requests for sure. Plus couple this with JoseCarlos' throwable/pushable/pullable items mod and the new code-based stuff coming out (OpenJK, the open source MP/SP code etc.) and we may actually have some fun TFU-esque mods on our hands.

That is mainly a model issue. Not much I can do with that. I could try skinning and make the seems seem less noticeable. But even then the stretching would still be noticeable. It is just the way the model is made.

Compatible, just move your assets over and you'll be fine.

Still waiting on the last step. Here's a small preview video I made. Once it's completely finished, I'll make a longer video featuring all of the main changes.
 

So, if that's the case... personally I don't care where he got it from, since ibonek won't be taking credit for it then I don't see any reason the mod can't happen. *shrugs*

There isn't enough frankensteining in the JA community in my opinion.
 
I like this idea, along with any other additional custom species ideas.

Okay... a lot more tough.

So I got sick of seeing the gross, low-resolution levelshots that were in vanilla JA, so I tried to take some higher quality ones that did the game a bit more justice. This was on my old computer on the highest settings I could set it to... not amazing, but definitely a step up. I tried to make all the screenshots as true to the originals as possible, so the angles should be pretty spot on, maybe slightly off but only when comparing them side-by-side.

What Levelshots Have Been Done?
- Most SP Maps (some of the smaller ones weren't possible)
- All MP Maps
- LucasArts Siege Destroyer Map
- LucasArts Bonus MP Map Pack

What's The Difference/What Settings?
- Higher resolution (1280x1024 I believe)
- Less pixelated/less jags
- Color Depth: 32-Bit (Highest)
- Geometric Detail: High (Highest)
- Texture Detail: Very High (Highest)
- Texture Filter: 32-Bit (Highest)
- Detailed Shaders: On
- Dynamic Glow: On

Not a big difference or anything, but it's noticeable and adds a nice polish to the game, I think. Nozyspy said I should do the same for JO but since I don't actually own JO, that will have to wait until a later date. Sorry I couldn't post before/after pictures but my Photobucket is acting up, feel free to post some if you want. Gimme a shout if you have any issues with the mod.

Wow! Nice work! The mod is looking really great. I especially like the work done with the voices, like the "Jango Fett" line. I could barely tell it was modded! Also, Rax to Wat was a great idea!

Nice work man! I'm especially impressed with the Droideka's. Any animations for them? Do they move? I remember those things being hard as hell to kill in The Phantom Menace game.

Understandable. I hoped the system was like that but the whole external link thing had me puzzled. That makes sense now.

We will host any file size as far as I'm aware, the upload system just doesn't like large files so requires an external link for us to get it. WE move em all to the JKHub dropb purely because user-based accounts are prone to going down, people ending subscriptions e.t.c and then the site link would go dead.Imagine if jk3files linked to personal webspace files how many would be gone by now?

I'll just stick with this computer. It's got Photoshop, TextEdit, StuffIt, Audacity, QuickTime, Preview, Firefox, and Jedi Academy, which is really all I need for modding.

Keep under 2,000 tris per mesh object, or carcass will spit chips and not the yummy kind....
