  1. If you're going to take the time to reupload the mod again, might I recommend cleaning it up a bit first? (If you have permission to do that) Not sure if a lot of those .cfg files are necessary or not. Might also be nice to include a batch file already in there to load up the mod properly.

  2. I'm going to ask around for the source files, at least to archive them.

Hopefully everyone's kept a copy of the source files after this long.

Omicron, glad to hear you still have the 6 Level Demo & are uploading it. I thought I had backed it up but did a quick check and can't find my copy.

  3. Greetings,

Due to the recent talk of the Dark Forces Mod going on in the News area, I thought I'd post this here to avoid hijacking a thread not really related to the topic. As the Dark Forces Mod website is no longer available, I did a quick search on Archive.org and found a pretty decent snapshot of the site saved from Sept. 2012, in-case anyone wants to grab anything off of it. Not sure if this is really news to anyone, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

To me the DF mod was probably the closest anyone got to a SP total conversion, playing those levels FELT like a new game. With the source code release it really needs to be picked back up, I'd lend them a hand since if picked up by people who were even close to as dedicated as the original team the success rate would be high.

Agreed. That is probably the only, total conversion as minilogoguy18 suggested, that not only felt like a new game but also had quality work put into it. It's a real shame that it died off after the amount of work that was involved. Also, since the source is released, couldn't it  be made into its own game fairly easily due to the amount of custom assets already being used?

  5. Hello everyone,

I located the download for GtkRadiant 1.6.3 on this website http://icculus.org/gtkradiant/downloads.html but I can't seem to find the gamepack for Jedi Academy. I know Mr. Wonko released an older version of Radiant 1.6.x a couple of years ago that included a gamepack for that version of it, but does anyone know where the gamepack can be downloaded by itself? Also, would it be possible to get both the latest version of GtkRadiant & the gamepack hosted here on JKHub?

    Thanks.

  6. @@changkhan heya, I knew it was only a matter of time before you showed up. :P

Any chance at the original map source getting released? Also, DT mentioned lack of carcass and it would appear that ModView is out of date as well.

Personally, as a mapper, I wouldn't mind seeing the original map source released for both Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy. At this point I'm not sure if Ravensoft still has the source, or if they even have permission to distribute that material.

  7. Never going to happen in a million years.

I'll settle for Commander Shepard just in his N7 armor. If you were to include another option, I would like to see the default clothing option aboard the Normandy. However, that would undoubtedly involve additional modeling, which I doubt is worth it.
