Adding items to the hud?

I'm not really into hud modding. Is it possible to add new items to the hud without a code-mod?

I know that the items are hardcoded but on the hud.menu there is some item called ammo_tic5 even though there are only 4 ammo_tics defined.

As I understand it you can add menu elements to the HUD however you please. But obviously, you can only actually display things that are already capable of being displayed.

So in the end thit means that I can not add any new items that are supposed to be visible?

not sure, I dont know the extend of what can be done with a menu file.

The .menu file is a pseudo .menu. The game just references objects out of it for the purpose of positioning and whatnot. So, no. :X
