character HUMANOID SKEL NPC: Field Troopers

I rather simple job but these guys are all pretty much all set to go. I think I got the colors pretty close. But might look a the orange one a bit more. Anyway, here they are.

Isn't that backpack from Lt.claim or did you model it on them yourself?

@ The backpack was modeled on by @@Tavik the sand pouches are also on this model but the fieldtrooper doesn't use them.

 

@@DT85 Sorry, what are LODs?

LODs are lower quality versions of the original model to aid in performance. You'll find them by looking for "_1", "_2" etc on the end of objects.

Yeah, I kept the LODs on the model. Figured that they were important in a character that there are a lot of on screen at once. All I did for this model was take HapSlash's sandtrooper parts and stick them on DT's model using Blender. Simple but effective, and very little work.

I was thinking would it make more sense for Field Troopers having beaten up armor as opposed to the clean version?

Not sure. The stormtroopers and scout troopers on Endor seemed to have pretty much clean armors. A good idea would be to have a "dirty" version for the rocky canyons and bases on Ruusan, just like the new AT-ST.
