AshuraDX Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 x1 & y1 should deal with the position while x2 and y2 describe how far the image extends from the position defined by x1 & y1but @@therfiles knows way more about that stuff and might have to correct me here therfiles and dark_apprentice like this
therfiles Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Correct! X1 and Y1 are the coordinates, and X2 and Y2 are the dimensions of the element. dark_apprentice likes this
dark_apprentice Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Ok, that will be really big pain-in-the-ass to find out the correct numbers for the X1 and Y1 and for X2 and Y2 is there any chance that person to be found? (I mean the one, who started a project for visual editor of the .menu files)
ensiform Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Menu editors don't help so much with JKA huds since the JKA hud code doesn't fully use the menu system at all. Only the information from it.
dark_apprentice Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 So what you say @@ensiform is that I just have to figure it out, by the way of "try-out-mistake-edit" and lucky guessing the numbers? therfiles likes this
dark_apprentice Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Ok, finally after 28 deleted files and tires the saber Logo of Jedi Knight IS on the right place at the left side, but there are still 2 main problems left to edit:problem 1 - after I have finally managed to put the saber Logo on the place, where I want it (in the circle of the HUD), it's too tiny and I tried everything to make it "fat", but it doesn't work /instead of that the logo, goes in other positions around the screen, but not getting fatter/problem 2 - it has a black background and it's on a ".TGA" file, is there a way to make it work with invisible .TGA (like the HUD files, they are on invisible background on .PNG files)?I am really pissed off
AshuraDX Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 you need a proper alpha channel for your tgaswhite=opaque, black=transparent
dark_apprentice Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 @@AshuraDX it is: Width: 512 pixelsHeight: 256 pixelsColor: Blackand there is the saber logo, colored in red/green/blue for each of the saber styles (at the moment) but it shows it black inside the game and it's too tiny
AshuraDX Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 pass me your images and I'll mess around with them dark_apprentice likes this
AshuraDX Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 @@dark_apprentice , which program do you use to edit the images ? Photoshop ?the alpha channels had to be edited and I'd prefer teaching you how you can do it yourself rather than just giving you the fixed files you should also remove the Jedi Knight logo saber from your hudleft & hudright images to avoid any wierd issues
dark_apprentice Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 yes, I am using Adobe Photoshop - CS6. what is with the alpha channels? And about he JK Logo from the hudleft/hudright I just keep it on the version I've send you, just to make your, that the saber style will be on the right position (perhaps you saw it if you used the .pk3 file, but it's too tiny and it must be bigger size)
dark_apprentice Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Ok guys, here is the final version of this HUD for now, perhaps when I have more free time, I can try make one better version, but for now it's this. All you'll need is in description /read me/ and enjoy your game play.http://jkhub.org/files/file/2037-tfu-2-hud-for-jka-by-dark-apprentice/
