Darth_Bothersome Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Or really any filetype usable in Radiant.
mrwonko Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Surely Maya can export lwo, obj or 3ds? Those all work.
Darth_Bothersome Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Not sure, honestly. I'm not particularly proficient in Maya, but I have a friend who is. However, he isn't really familiar with modding for these games. I can check, but the interface confuses me a little.
Darth_Bothersome Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Turns out it can export .obj, but you need a plugin in order to do so.

IrocJeff Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I wasn't aware of that. I just found a website that has pay models but also over 800 freebies in various formats. lwo and obj were two of them. Going to post the site in the Arts forum..
minilogoguy18 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 If you have the Unreal engine ActorX plugin installed for Maya you get .ASE support which you can use for map objects in place of .MD3. If Xycaleth finishes his .FBX to .GLM/.GLA converter you'll then be able to do animated models including characters and vehicles. Archangel35757 likes this
Tempust85 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Well the FBX2GLM converter should work fine now, every model I put through it works fine. Just doesn't make animations right now.
