CaptainCrazy Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm not sure if you guys already know of this tutorial but i found it a few weeks ago so i thought i'd post it here just in case: http://virtue.thejediacademy.net/tutorials/hilts/saber_tutorial.html I haven't tried it myself yet but i intend to do that today, maybe somebody more experienced can glance over it and see if everything is as it should be.
MagSul Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 That's the one I followed not so long ago. It works. Though from what I've been told, GMAX isn't the most ideal programme to be using these days. Do we have any tutorials on more modern software lurking about for hilt building purposes?
Stoiss Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 if im not totaly wrong it was me who gave it to you Cc just to spoild the fun anyway alot of the tutorails there is can be found on here http://forums.filefront.com/sw-jk3-modding-mapping-editing/333326-jka-modding-tutorials-tools-updated-april-27th-2011-a.html im not sure if everyone of them is up to dateor the links is working but it should be used in here and maybe renew if there is anything there is missing in does text
CaptainCrazy Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 I'm still trying to find a tutorial that shows you how to import a prop into Radiant, can't seem to find one on here or Google xD
mrwonko Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I had a quick glance (very quick), seems okay to me. I'd personally go for Blender over gmax* though, because that's still maintained and can do much more while also being free. Lacks a lightsaber creation tutorial though. I should write one some day. I should write so many tutorials. One minor thing to keep in mind is that the md3 to glm conversion of Md3View has a small inaccuracy, tags are offset by 1 or 2 units. I've fixed that:https://jkhub.org/files/file/3-mr-wonko39s-md3view/ So just use that Md3View instead of the one from the jk2/jka sdk and you'll be fine.* how the hell do you capitalize that? GMAX? GMax? Gmax? Circa likes this
