Onysfx Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Pretty much what the title says. I've seen it done in other games, such as halo CE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUdoy7eqAH4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zutL5URHPxE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rym0VNyMu0s Just a suggestion .
katanamaru Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I need to get Tyreal64's persmission to use his Link skin. Then I'll upload my sword and shield style here.
TheWhitePhoenix Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Someone needs to make a Zelda model for this.
katanamaru Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Well we have Link and Gananondorf. I'm sure a Zelda reskin is floating around somewhere. TheWhitePhoenix likes this
TheWhitePhoenix Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Well we have Link and Gananondorf. I'm sure a Zelda reskin is floating around somewhere.I hope so. But if there is, I haven't found it yet. I'd much rather prefer a model like those who did Link and Ganon.
CaptainChar Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I've contemplated mapping as much as OoT as possible, eg Kokori forest, Hyrule field, and Hyrule castle/market as one large seamless map, I am temped, even though ive been working with other Nintendo 64 maps, lol So if no one objects, I may fire up my GameCube copy of OoT and get started to see how much I can do in original graphics, before running out of brushes on a related note, I did make an unreleased map based of the 1980's Zelda Cartoon Botdra and katanamaru like this
Onysfx Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 What about porting the map over? That's what they did in those videos.
CaptainChar Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Porting isn't really liked among the JA community, now I don't know the policies exactly but ported materials prevented a star trek ship from ever lanching, so id have to remake it from scratch, but my goldeneye maps are replicas
Onysfx Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 That's a shame. It just wouldn't be the same unless it was ported .
CaptainChar Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 ive been tempted for years to redo all of Zelda 1 or Link to the past over world for a JA map
MoonDog Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 ive been tempted for years to redo all of Zelda 1 or Link to the past over world for a JA map I think you have far too many projects as it is, I wonder how many of them you would of churned out if you'd focus entirely on one thing till it's completed.
Drakan Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 There are quite a few Hyrule Maps for JKA. Give me 10 minutes brb Hyrule:http://uk.gamespot.com/star-wars-jedi-knight-jedi-academy/downloads/6089595/ I did play a map that was in post creation back in 08 which was being used for a Zelda RPG which included Hyrule from OoT including the lon lon ranch / castle / Garudo Valley and the lake, but i'll have to dig through my old server when i get home. If i find the post creation version i'll string it up here if you want to use it as an outline to build your own map. Onysfx likes this
Futuza Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 That's a shame. It just wouldn't be the same unless it was ported .It would be moar better as a brand new map.
Onysfx Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 It would be moar better as a brand new map."Possibly." -Jango Fett
Shadowknight1 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Honestly, I'd use the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time as a reference rather than the N64 version. Closer to creator's original intent and much more colorful.
bednarro Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 There are quite a few Hyrule Maps for JKA. Great map for RPG:) Good fps.http://download.cnet.com/Jedi-Knight-II-Jedi-Outcast-Hyrule-Town-Map/3000-7441_4-10264683.htmlhttp://www.gamefront.com/files/2130827/Hyrule_Town I spend a lot of time on this map. I recommend it.
