Rosh is my favorite
Why is there no mention of JA+ anywhere? Also, is there any way to tell what version of JA+ you're using? I think I have the latest one since I can join JA+ servers but I just wanna know how to check. Link to comment
Circa
It should be in the manual in the japlus folder. Not sure what you mean by no mention, but it seems a lot of attention has moved to the newer JA++ project. I don't know much about it though. Link to comment
Rosh is my favorite
That's interesting. I looked it up and it's made by a different guy, but it doesn't really say what it improves upon the original JA+ so I don't think I'm gonna get it. Link to comment
Omicron
JA++ has so many new features, one doesn't know where to begin. @@Raz0r could probably give you quick run down of it though if he can be bothered enough to do it Link to comment
eezstreet
http://japp.jkhub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5 What do you have to lose by using it? The JA++ client is backwards compatible with JA+, btw.. Link to comment
CaptainCrazy
Could somebody give me a rundown of what JA++ is? lol Link to comment
eezstreet
It's like JA+ but it's actively maintained by Raz0r, instead of the infrequent updates that Slider puts out. The JA++ client is compatible with JA+ servers, and likewise, the JA++ server is compatible with the JA+ client. Here's a few things:- It has a TON of bugs fixed and exploits closed up- Has a few new features- Able to script your server using Luaamong other things Link to comment
Raz0r
JA++ was a project I started when I wanted to customise my HUD playing on JA+ servers. Eventually I added features from JA+ to play nicely (e.g. RGB sabers, grapple) and got far too carried away, adding probably hundreds of tiny features all over the place. Ideally, it's used as a replacement for JA+ to be used when playing on JA+ servers. There is also a JA++ server-side, but it hasn't recieved as much attention. As for your original question, Typing cjp_client into the console will tell you what version you have. Rosh is my favorite likes this Link to comment
Merek
JA++ is far better than JA+, as it expands the limits on EVERYTHING like npcs, skins, maps, you name it. I never had this much luck with JA+ is why I always used clan mod. But now I have JA++ and it works like a charm. Thanks Raz0r! Onysfx likes this Link to comment
Onysfx
If you don't mind me asking: http://japp.jkhub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3 In the releases, there is an optional download for melee animation replacement. What exactly does that do? Link to comment
Raz0r
Changes the idle melee animation to have your hands by your side. Link to comment
