Jedi Academy activity and player count over the years

Did anyone ever keep track of the player count in Jedi Academy (or Jedi Outcast) over the years?

Or are there statistics how many copies were sold?

I think there used to be a x-fire related statistic and nowadays there is steamcharts but that's obviously only a small part of the whole playerbase.

Man I wish someone did, it would have been interesting to see. It's a shame that the game isn't what I used to be 5 years ago. Miss you all

I'm 100% positive that if someone did, there should be an increasing curve every year around December, I've seen many times it happening; someone comes to play JK around December and all of a sudden here we are all again, to then drop it after some months to just repeat the cycle next year.

What happened on May 2005?

as far as i can remember, 2005 had also the best activity-peak of ESL JKA, where the competitive players had something they could focus on (becoming the #1 solo and teamwise)
good old days, sad that the masterserver has shut down many times in 2010 for few weeks and now its completely off....

so new players only see server online when they have some mod installed

memories never dies!

It is difficult to advertise to get players back to jka. In our community we struggle, we have tried forums and a youtube channel, but if no one is looking because they don't think anyone plays, then its very difficult.
