Blender 2.78 is throwing BONE NUMBER MISMATCH gla has 52 bones model has 72 bones maybe you are trying to load a jk2 model with jk3 skeleton or vice versa

You need to use the correct GLA. If you are loading a JK2 model you will need the _humanoid.gla from Jedi Outcast, not Jedi Academy. The Jedi Academy .gla had some of the bones removed hence the bones mismatch error.

Ideally from a legitimate copy of Jedi Outcast (it should be in the assets0.pk3, I think), though I imagine the demo should also include a version of it that would work.
