I don't know, I imagine they would though? I also hate howlers. Better to turn them into something I love. :D

Yes the howler has a skeleton, it could be exported to a usable format with neosis and then re-rigged properly *at least in 3ds max it would be possible*. The bones proportions might be an issue and require the alien to be modified in proportions and pose.

Yes, you will need to import a version of the alien mesh, that is not weighted to the _humanoid skeleton, pose it to match the howler skeleton and thwn weight it to the howler skeleton.
