Funding Goal Reached + Holiday Competition

Greetings once again, JKHubians! We have reached our funding goal for this year thanks to your very generous donations. These will be used for creating a new version of the website, which we have dubbed JKHub 2.0. We in fact received a little over our required funding, and will be using that to pay for next year's required donations. Many thanks to you! Some of you were so generous as to donate $100 or more to the cause!

But more info on that later, here's the scoop on something you might have seen spring up already in the forum - The Holiday Competition! This year we will be doing things a little bit differently in regards to the holidays. Instead of a holiday event, we will be doing a large modding competition, based on The Force Awakens, which releases on 18 December in the United States (and various other dates in other countries). Our latest poll is also related to the subject. At the end of the competition, there will be a winner, with 2nd place and 3rd place also to claim. Winners will receive the greatest reward of them all...bragging rights! And a cool trophy that I made in MS Paint. Since we started later than usual this year, the competition will extend into the new year!

Here's how it will work:

• Already existing entries (such as DT's Ep7 Stormtrooper) can be entered into the competition, and will be entered into a separate pool from ones which were created solely with the competition in mind.
• Each pool will be split into 2 smaller pools. Players can vote (via a forum poll) which in each current pool is the best. After the deadline, the votes will be counted up. The winners in each pool will face the winners of other pools!
• The deadline for submitting content is December 31st 2015.
• The winners will be determined by January 15th 2016.
• The polls will have a post count requirement, so as to discourage voter fraud.
• All content must be made by the submitter. Our usual restrictions on ports still apply.
• Any content is welcome, including skins, models, maps, weapons, you name it. Just make sure it's up to snuff!
• Any content submitted to the competition must be in our Downloads section. We will be approving files much faster than normal in order for the files to reach the deadlines.
• You may submit a file by replying to this post.

I've been working on a holiday themed remap of Duel of the Fates. Do the restrictions apply here? Must it also have a reference to Episode 7? I'd like to participate with this remap, but if by the reasons I mentioned earlier it can't. Then I will start creating a new map.

Your call, mods may not like it depending.  I personally think it'd be fine, but that's up to the staff.

You're probably fine with using Toshi's work in a frankenstein, as long as you are giving permission. The only thing is with uploading his content in full.

 

You can upload MBOI maps, but we will have to implement a new category very quick.

Err, I meant on the site. You can submit anything in the competition.

I don't know how to mod or make npc's or playermodels xD. I have nobody to teach me and i am not the greatest artist...Also when you guys make the new website will you transfer all the download files onto there?
