  1. Poison gas is the same as the nohgri weapon stick-- it will just a imminate from a tag on his body and not a weapon. Same as the flamethrower for Boba Fett except I plan to make unique EFX using FumeFX and Afterburn.

  3. IG-88 has numerous weapons: poison gas, flamethrower, a retractable dagger spike, rifle, grenades, melee... I feel like I'm forgetting something. ...and of course the Lancer variant has its Lancer (and swoopbike).
  4. The mesh just needs a few finishing touches (…but I still need to make the Lancer variant bits):
  5. Nice... But why does it look like the engine always swaps the lower legs??? I'm in the calf muscles and feet look swapped.
  6. I'm resurrecting my IG-88 model... I want to get this in-game with a custom skeleton (based on a CS Biped) and custom animation set... along with all of IG-88's mix of weapons. Would this need a new class? Or can it use Boba Fett's class?
  7. Interesting... http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=49714 http://bulletphysics.org/Bullet/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=166
  8. Suggestion: keep working on integrating Bullet or "Fill-in-blank" physics engine into SP code.
  9. Yeah, those are circuit breakers...
  10. Here's an update on the new console/dashboard:

@Syko - Yep it's so old I hope the cyberHackers wouldn't bother with it. But actually XP64 is derived from Windows server 2003... which support ended on July 2015.

@Syko, I respect your views and I'm not going to get into a debate on this, but let's just say we're a long way away from the 90s, when computers were built for work.

UPDATE: Root cause of problem was the update to DropBox 3.10.7 (which occurred on 30 Sep)... I found the solution here:

      http://superuser.com/questions/983880/windows-2003-x64-non-fatal-error-rundll32-exe-entry-point-not-found/987768#987793

This issue will likely impact anyone who has Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 OS and DropBox installed.

  11. Ok... so after Googling cockpit layouts for ideas-- I've sketched out these two concepts: I'm planning to go with #2.
  12. Just load up the model and JK2 skeleton then, remove the JK2 specific bones (mostly fingers and facial bones) from the skin modifiers and re-weight the mesh as needed to the bones that carry over into JK3.
  13. So what is your wishlist for Carcass changes? What was the other thing we said needing fixing-- I posted it on here somewhere... maybe bring this up again in the Carcass discussion thread.
  14. @@Raven, yeah, I can look at the Moldy Crow for certain aspects... @@AshuraDX, @@DT85... I'm not liking the new concept I have above... I think I'll ditch the curved dashboard and go with a more trapezoidal shape. But I'm open to any suggestions.
  15. But do you like the curvature on each side of the dashboard? Or do you think it should be more flat/trapezoidal ( given the Raven Claw's hard edge outer mold line design)? Now I'm leaning towards trapezoidal...
  16. So here's what I have so far on the new dashboard concept: I still need to revise all of the display panels...
  17. Could you do the same to have it support static (animated) GLM models (what @@DT85 made possible)?
  18. Ok... so I have a new concept for the dashboard/console and will begin making the changes this evening.
  19. Ok... so this evening I made a quick review of all six episodes to study various cockpit layouts. Below are screenshots of various cockpit elements from each episode. Episode 1: Episode 2: Episode 3: (pay attention and you'll see they recycle Anakin's targeting scope above into Vader's TIE fighter in Ep4... nice idea as this is the forerunner to the TIE fighter). Episode 4: Episode 5: (there's already been plenty of Falcon cockpit console pics posted, so I won't repeat any here. I will add that 3ds Max users can download a full Millenium Falcon & E-Wing cocpkit here: http://scifi3d.com/list.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=10 ). Taking this all into account-- one thing I see in my cockpit design that is too reflective of current military tech, is the Multi-Function Displays with the buttons along the sides-- but that is easy to remedy, as well as modifying the shape so that it isn't quite rectangular. But in the screenshots above, I did see: foot pedal controls, various style yokes and grips, various throttles (some not unlike what I have, ref. Anakin's yellow speeder). I don't plan to change the current seat... but I will be conceptualizing changes to the dashboard console. ...so stay tuned.
  20. Laughable-- these look like they're either band-aids or breathe-right nose strips:
  21. Would someone post some good pics of the Endor shuttle cockpit when Han and Chewie are flying it? EDIT: After work today... I will dive thru all 6 Star Wars movies and take screenshots of all the various cockpits for further study.
  22. Quick Update: So I've modeled a concept for the Throttle Quadrant...
  23. Maybe Rich Whitehouse or Gil Grib? Gil is one of the original Raven coders... who works elsewhere now... is he active on jacoders irc? I have his email I can send you.
  24. I think I will follow your suggestion and just go with the lap belt-- that would simplify animations in the cockpit.
