Same problem, but in skyrim. I used to be able to play skyrim normally until today, when I started getting the same problem as in oblivion... really frustrating. And it seems to be an windows 8-only issue too.

So, I've got this problem: I reinstalled Oblivion on my new PC (Which has a resolution of 1366x768 if that changes anything) and the taskbar with options to minimize and exit show up on the screen, even though I chose fullscreen and my resolution. Any ideas?

JK2 mode or JKA mode? Also what map/mod are you using?
EDIT: Looks like an ancient build. Be sure to use the latest stuff.
And where's the installer? This is the second time I can't find it lol.
Maybe it's becuase my OS is 64-bit though? I see the files end with .x86.

Yep, I've bought aspire. Actually, it's pretty damn good. All the specs seemed ok, except the graphics card. I must say that reading the posts about Geforce 710M scared me off a bit, but people are overreacting. It can run almost all games, sure, not in ultra quality, but it runs most games fine in medium quality. All the posts that say how shitty it is are quite lulzy.

I don't like windows 8. I think everyone knows that by now
So, if I tried to install windows 7, what would happen? Would I be able to clear the partition with windows 8 and install windows 7 there? Would I have to dual-boot? Or maybe even that won't work, since windows 7 is NTFS while windows 8 is GPT?
