Now we have these "Legends" section of Star Wars. Seeing Cindel Towani, Darth Revan or Jerec there seems ok. But Cody and even other major characters as well???

  You can see that on Wookiepedia now. Most of the articles are now divided into two parts - Canon and Legends, the first being quite short, and the second telling us all what we know about certain character from movies, books, comics, cartoons, etc.
