With the recent developments involving the release of the source code, our happy community will likely be getting more attention from older players who have moved on, or even those who have never played before. Players who, like I first did back when, are likely going to look for "jedi academy mods/maps/downloads/etc" in good old google. I was pleased to see that searching "jedi academy (mod)(mods)(modding)" got a hit for jkhub.org on page 1. However, "jedi academy maps" didn't find us until page 3, and "jedi academy downloads" didn't find us until page 4. Searching for "skins" and "models" didn't turn up anything through page 10, where I quit looking. I thought I remembered a thread of a similar nature, and indeed a similar conversation has come up before. http://jkhub.org/topic/651-quest-raise-jkhub-to-the-top-of-google-search-results/?hl=google Considering that now the iron is undoubtably hot, any thoughts on what other generalized searches might be used, and how they might be capitalized on?

I still use the original disks for all my games. I LIKE physical ownership, heck I even bought an old abandon-ware game on ebay I could have downloaded for free legally, (oringinal manual was a plus.) I always take care of my stuff, but my Jedi Academy game ended up ultra scratched, still works, but it prompted me to clone a backup. My best guess is that unlike my other games, I used it so much, and since it was the only thing at the time that needed the disk, I would leave it in my cd drive 24/7, even when powered down. In hindsight that was probably a bad idea. I remember the whhhhrrrbzzzzzfffftttt of the drive spinning to a halt every night lol.

A little late to the party, but I'm in the 1600x900 club, unless I'm on my 10+ year old PC that I still use since its such a faithfull workhorse and refuses to die, then I'm 1024x768. On this: That worked for me, in fact I recall seeing the rendered cutscenes in widescreen too, like when the shuttle gets shot down by the sceptor at the very beginning? Only thing I've found glitchy in WS is hosting a multiplayer game with bots causes a DT crash.

Hello there everyone. I'm fairly new to the modding community, though I've been an *almost* modder for nearly 5 years. I started with mapping, but something in life always seems to come up and the hobbies go on the shelf. Anyway, I've had better luck lately skinning models, with at least a dozen or so projects half done or more. I look forward to actually getting some more stuff finished up and sharing them with the community. So, that's my story. I look forward spending more time here, getting to know everyone, and making fun skins and, hopefully, even more in the future!
