So I broke down and now have JKA.

Ping, if you think about it, that's more realistic. But yeah, after being used to hopping in MP, going back to SP is annoying in that regard. JKE will have MP movement to fix that.

Hopping around in multiplayer is one of the most dumbest things ever and one of the reasons I quit playing multi player for FPS's in the first place.

strafe jumping is pretty excellent though. walking around is such a very ineffective way of getting from point a to point b
