Error: Can't spawn NPC remote_sp

Started up a new play through of JKA, got to the first area of training at the Jedi Temple where you have to destroy the remotes. Entered the area Kyle said "Here come the remotes!" got a message in the upper corner saying Error: Can't spawn NPC remote_sp and I can't continue any further in the area now. please halp. ;(

If there are mods, involving NPC files (inside a new pk3, ext_data/ ), then the new mods might have overriden the original NPC files, thus removing the Remote droids.

 

Sometimes with many mods installed your game reaches limits, including the NPC limit, and as a result some of the NPCs get removed without notification. Deleting the mods is the perhaps the right choice to solve the issue.

Happened to me before because of some mod but I forgot which one, try make a backup of ur mods then replace them in base one at a time and test them b4 you put them all in

I have two copies of jka, one with an empty clean base as if it were freshly installed and one where I put my mods in it.  That way if something breaks I can compare the two and mix and match until I find the problem mod.
