h00tman Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Hey, haven't played this game since 2010 on my PC... I am a mac guy now. I downloaded the game but am trying to downgrade to 1.02. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Circa Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I'm assuming you're referring to JK2, rather than Jedi Academy? Probably not possible to downgrade and play on a modern machine, especially if you bought the game from Steam or the App Store. @@redsaurus or @@Xycaleth might know more about how it works.

eezstreet Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 JK2 uses QVMs instead of DLLs like JA does, meaning that mod compilation works cross platform. What I'd like to see one day is someone taking the 1.02 QVM code, applying several fixes but leaving the gameplay intact, so that players don't have to downgrade. All the hate towards 1.03/1.04 is based purely on stuff which isn't in the engine.
ouned Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 @@Circa I wanted to do that as soon as it's v1.0.@@eezstreet NT already did that but didn't release something I guess. Circa likes this
Clan FJA Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 just a question about JKA (OpenJK) on mac.I don't have a mac but I must do files to launch a mod for a mac user. I already have the cgame, jampgame and ui files for the mac version. What is the equivalent of a .bat for a mac ? What should I put in these files ? (client and server) Windows :start openjk.x86.exe + set fs_game ojpenhanced start openjkded.x86.exe + set fs_game ojpenhanced + exec server.cfg
Clan FJA Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 sorry, I'm a real noob about mac. What is the "terminal" ? We have already members which play Windows versions on mac via dualboot. but I would like give a full mac version too.

The easiest way to run launch time commands is to use @@redsaurus' JKJALaunch app for Mac. http://jkhub.org/files/file/1019-jedi-academy-mp-launcher-for-os-x/ No need to bother with Terminal if you use that, I belive. Also, Steam supports them as well, but Mac users can't join servers without OpenJK or JKJALaunch anyway.
