MP minimap

Does anyone know if there's a similar minimap released separately somewhere? 

If it hasn't been done already, this would be a nice addition to regular JKA aswel (ffa3, ffa5, ffa1 etc.)
since this type of minimap is very common in just about every game that has MP as an option ( + MMO's)
It would be nice to see others in a minimap while you play, or even open a bigger window to view the map.

I have no clue how to make this on my own, but I would give it a shot if I can find a tutorial somewhere.
If we had this for the 'normal maps'(ffa3 etc.) then it might spread into custom maps aswel, e.g. JedisHome JL II.
So if you can make a map, then why not create a small image aswell so your map has a minmap option too,
if only there was a folder where you could just drop this images... I personally have no idea where to start.

It requires a bunch of coding. It was originally added by JKG, and I believe shared with MB2. No other mods have it.

I think it turned up in mb2 first based on how it was done in W:ET, it shouldn't be *too* hard to add the JKG minimap code to a clean version of the MP source.
