JediSully Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 To make part of a skin invisible? SAy, for instance, an arm?
JediSully Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 And how would this be done? Use a png and the part you want invisible be transparent?
Apprentice Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 And how would this be done? Use a png and the part you want invisible be transparent?Yep, or have a texture with an invisible shader applied . . .
Omicron Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Or, in the .skin file, change the texture path to *off eezstreet and Asgarath83 like this
Futuza Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 If you want it to be slightly visible though, I would just use the textures from the shadowtroopers. I think that might be an effect too...don't remember.
JediSully Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 So, tried Omnicron's suggestion... and got one of the more disturbing things I've yet to see in JKA. Not only was her arm invisible, but she had a gaping whole in her shoulder. And when she moved all kinds of ugly happened.
Omicron Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Well, if you went the invisible texture way, you'd probably get the same result, unless somehow turning off the arm removed any caps there too

(LOL: online hardmode: make Kyle skin invisible)
Asgarath83 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 As told Omicronf fast way is to turn into *off the relative texturee path into SKIN file.so ifhips,models/players/Jedi/hips.jpg -> hips,*offyou can make with every body part you desire.
