They likely are...I doubt 102 jka players would be on one server lol.

Back in the day, we confirmed that you could have up to 127 players in the game. After 128, the game crashed.

Very likely its a server using exploit to force you to download a modded/hacked client.  Which is prevented in OpenJK.  Also possible that they just faked the numbers for the server browser

I've also tried viewing the server information on those type of servers, but it doesn't show.

As others have confirmed, that information can be easily spoofed.
