spior Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Reactor_Room_2;118456As you can see, the download link for this file is broken. I'll just add a check for broken links tomorrow (technically today).Sorry for the inconvenience.

Syko Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Two more bugs to fix in the latest revision of the bot: -JK2 version crashes while getting file list (it crashes on "Getting file list...3352/3357")-JKA bat doesn't work on its own. The command parameters that you run the program with are apparently case sensitive. Eezstreet wrote jk3files "jka" when it should be "JKA" I wonder what the 666th file is... Master Ridley likes this
eezstreet Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 what, okay. Wasn't aware that strncmp was case-sensitive... you learn something new every day I suppose Master Ridley likes this
Syko Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 Any more progress @@spior? If you're busy then that's fine.
spior Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 It seems to be getting more files than it says it will. Trying to figure out exactly why this is happening.
Syko Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 @@spior any more progress? It's been quite a while...
spior Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I opened the solution yesterday!...Okay I'll work on it some more tomorrow. As far as I remember, it used to give me more files than predicted so I have no idea what to do right now, but I hope I figure this out. EDIT: Okay, I fixed that issue then. I'll have the updated version up in a sec. EDIT: or not...
spior Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I have fucking HAD IT with this site. Can't even back it up properly.Fuck.Here you go. Use "JK2" (case sensitive) to download jk2files.
Rosh Penin Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Awsome work here guys,I was able to download all of the JK2 maps on JK3 files. I packaged them up and uploaded them to Google drive for download. https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&confirm=zk2v&id=0B7clgVGK61VySTBJTnlscmkzMEk the full thing is like 4.6 gb, just big enough to burn to a dvd!
Syko Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Thanks fr3nzy, the JKfiles program kept crashing for me. I don't know how you got it to work. Just FYI, I've created a JKArchive site on Wordpress. If you'd like to contribute or make a mirror of any download packages, let me know. Link: http://jkarchive.wordpress.com

Syko Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 I'm officially closing this project as well. If you want to see the product of 3 wasted afternoons go to jkarchive.wordpress.com/downloads I will not be adding to this anymore. I'm done with this BS.
Syko Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Sorry about this...I was extremely ****ed off the other day for some RL reasons. I will probably work on this project a little more. Could someone help spior out with his JK3files bot? If not, would it be easier to configure the bot to download one category of mods? I have all JK2 mods downloaded at this point except for the skins. Also, would it be terrible if I wanted to upload a .zip of all Jedi Knight 2 maps here to JKhub?
spior Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 It would be helpful if you told me where it crashes this time. Also, all you have to do is put the files you already have in the sorted folders in the same dir as the exe. It detects already downloaded files.
Syko Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 On both JK2 and JKA parameters they crashed either on the 189th or 190th file. It was either of the two each time.
Syko Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 It's gone beyond 189/190, so it's working...for now.
eezstreet Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Sorry about this...I was extremely ****ed off the other day for some RL reasons.Happens to all of us, friend.

Syko Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 I re-ran the program and it seems to be going past the crash error. Crossing my fingers hoping it won't crash again...
spior Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 That error happens when your internet kinda...fucks up. It /should/ have just went passed it but idunno. Trying to replicate it now.
Syko Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Yeah, I think it was because my internet got messed up. It crashed again like 5 minutes before I wrote this and it was because my connection went down for a few minutes. Will re-run again, and it will probably work. Is there any sort of fail-safe you could implement so the program doesn't crash and instead holds before trying to connect again? Re-running the program takes it a while to confirm all of the files already downloaded.
spior Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 It does do that. I added some sanity check because why the fuck not, it might fix it. Re-download.
