MUG Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 In what sense wont it work? Also, this is a pretty decent free sound file converter if you are struggling with audacity: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html
eezstreet Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 What are you using the Mp3 as? music or sound?
Malkav Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 on 2nd thought i wanna leave it as mp but im not sure why it wont work. I think it's wrong settings on conversion or something? The sample frequency can render a file unusable or static-y, if we're still talking JKA.
mrwonko Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The sample frequency can render a file unusable or static-y, if we're still talking JKA.As can mono/stereo, depending on whether we're talking about music or "normal" sounds.
Acrobat Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 i think i used 41000 hertz or around there, and stereo sound on mp3. I used itunes to convert to wave, and then back to mp3. some success with this method
eezstreet Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 If you're using the MP3 as a sound effect, it will have to be 44100 hz, mono. If it's music, 44100 hz, stereo.

CaptainChar Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I use wave format for most my maps now for seemless looping method ive peiced together, uses 2 wave files, one is the intro part of a song,t he other is the loop segmentwaves must be 22,000khz, sound effects have to be mono, map music can be stereo, and remember audocity will put a "silence" at the end of any edited track by default, it'll have to be editted out of you want seemless looping music
