Sidios
Hi. Some time ago I've been working on a map, it took me a lot of time. Everything was going great. I couldn't finish it because my old hdd disc had crashed and I lost all files. Now I only have map.pk3 file that I sent to my friend for map testing purposes. Is there a way to bring it/convert it back to gtk radiant with all textures placed properly and no bugs? Or anything close to that? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
Droidy365
Without textures being messed up? Nope, sorry. There's nothing like that as far as I know. Of course, I could be wrong. If there is a way, I'd love to learn it. Link to comment
Lancelot
@@SidiosThere is a way to decompile maps, yes. While it might be easy to do, messed-up textures and missing scripts/paths are unavoidable. https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Q3Map2#Decompiling_into_a_.map The process is usually frowned upon, as it can be used to illegaly take something from other maps. But because you did the map on your own, you are free to decompile it. Better that way than having to redo the entire map. Sidios and Droidy365 like this Link to comment
