Edge split/vertex split help

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

After watching this video (underneath pictures) I came to conclusion that I could turn my hard edges into smooth shadings.

I have edited this model since a very long time and so many things have been changed that I might have probably fucked up somewhere.

My question is: As you can see in the screenshots, is it possible to remove the line and make it smooth?

Thank you

If a blender user can help solve the issue, the actual error message he's getting is this:

"LOD 0 UV seam found." after welding open edges.

@@PreFXDesigns maybe try this:

if it's indeed related to the same issue.

I have learnt to do 'merge at centre' and then I press 'V'. This way it unbinds them and the seams should be gone. But like I said I still get the lines u see in the picture.

@@Psyk0Sith the split UV seams are rewuired by the ghoul2 format, but you can hide the UV seems by editing the vertex normals along the seam, or using the updated version of carcass.

But afaik the Blender exporter does not export vertex mormals and I have yet to see a Blender .xsi exporter that works for carcass.

Thanks for the information guys, although I understand little of it. What can I do to fix it? Is there a fix at all?
