  1. I just checked out His tool, It isn't bad but i dont think im setting it up quite right, the ability to use different lighting is good I think, if he worked on the jka modview then we would have a chance to get a more useful tool and that's always a welcome possibility.

  4. There is a drawing tablet right next to me, I have no idea how to use it, but i could give it a shot. From what i have heard from this forum and around is that it is the best way to achieve precision in certain aspects. I do a lot of art but none digital. I don't really count my current skin work as art... more likely unsettling obsession.

  5. with this information could I remove the saber completely from the game or will it still default a saber to my player anyway? i really would like o know this as im stuck on changing the saber file which is not what i desire.planning to omit the player from ever using a saber for my mod.
  6. Thanks guys. I will keep what you said in mind, I may remove this topic then. I have been extremely wary of joining a forum until this point, I'm glad for the reception I have gotten so far, it has been very friendly and professional. I do want to help others as much as I can, but I know that if I put all my time into learning the essentials to make the tc i can make a lot more progress. I don't really want it to be just mine, but jkhubs brainchild, so as I release work , I will always make it freely available for everyone to use in their own way on here.
  7. I learnt to make my own custom animations It's because you posted this technique you learned around on other forums, I was able to implement my own custom animations for my model. Thanks to that bit of advice I came across awhile back now... I really have found it useful.

Thankyou for your help regardless, I like your idea for a tc and I also understand that the subject matter has been done before, but I think that with you knowing that already you can use those mods as a basis for comparison. the hellfire on a swoop still is amusing me slightly. I hope to use md2 as a basis as mine, and perhaps ask to use some of their work, since I'd like an even bigger scale of a mod and they have solved a few things in sp I have learned from a bit.

Well for the hidden melle grabs that kyle uses, try to attach a model to a bolt and have it run the opposing animation of it being grabbed. if you play around enough with it, it may be the way, also I'm sure that motion is the right way to go in this process but I haven't tried this, I have just loaded to models in two open programs of modview an put the windows together. It is kind of a retarded way of doing it and not that effective but i don't really know any other way thru the program itself.also if you do find out how to add new tags, i would like to know , i can't figure an easier way than hex editing, and im not sure you can do it to merge tags from other models.

I do see I need to lighten the clothe and groin plate a little.judgeing by media, practically most the source images used for boba present in all media aren't an accurate depiction.

I am trying to make it just middleground as possible at the moment, I would like some more of those screenshots and I'd appreciate the effort, because to me rotj fett is hard to get right. Also of my last screen what advice would you give to make it for light maps? Do you use Gimp? I will have to re do my work for the metal shader efx to convey right, I am using mb2,s mandalorian shader atm, Is it the right way or should I just do a spec map?

Maybe some running with a blaster ? better shooting for rifles? if messed around a lot with changing animations thru cfg but it just is so annoying when they are slightly off and you don't quite know how to animate effectively . better kyle mellee cover to use to replace force dodge? a different stance profile completely when holding rifles. breathing animation for idle rifle if you could change all those mentioned styles, what to? maybe like some kickass short range weapon moves from someone who has lots of short range wicked weapons and no way to use them.{ I could add the efx to animevents} some different gauntlet animations. If i was a jedi and had mind powers to persuade you to do this awesome act, I would.
  14. Thank you I really need to discuss what features I envision and where to discuss concepts of what weapons and features he has on his armor are possible to emulate in JASP. I have some good ideas for this I think and I need to be directed on which topics belong in which forum before posting.
  15. Isn't to do with the animations? the code that changes their inheritance between frames is different but could one affect these by making animations to mimic multiplayer? I have tried this way a little to affect with movement, specific for more third person shooter style. I have problems doing anything like that because I do not have the knowledge to make the cg_thirdperson binds stick. (or a more efficient way than key binding) messing around with crouch to make a sprint,selects noweap because it is impractical to shoot while sprinting and because your view lowers when crouched, changed walk to run anims and changed walk speed then changed run to walk speeds and playing with bindings for that worked well as well as changing the force lean to duck and cover animations.

I like the Asajj very much it does remind me a lot of the clone wars, all your work is coming together well . you work quickly, I think maybe a little more lighting and contrast to match the face on her exposed part of her leg more would really work but I don't know if that is intended to be like that.

  18. I need to neaten these could some one give me some advice on what to lighten and what not to? I really would like to get this right and I thank people for their critizms and suggestions.
  19. Very impressive work I love the commanders especially the fox and falco, Coolest clones I have seen so far keep up the good work. The only critizms I have are that the cyan and purple colour seem a bit much and maybe need a slight darken and maybe more damage? that is all I can think of and I look forward to seeing these clones be worked on your definately neater than I am, any pointers?
  20. Yes I suppose that is what I am saying.I have been working on getting a brighter skin with out it loooking to weird on my pc. It has display issues so hopefully on release I can get feedback to do with the brightness.

Keep in mind that the last image is considerably lightenend and more colour correct, when in game the shaders will appear to cast light in ways that would make it seem to light and plastic to me. also I am running this on my laptop that for some reason doesnt like teliing me hat the real colour of my images are, the contrast is a bit of on my screen so I have tried to adjust it right. the more you zoom in on a texture , the more you will realise that the idea is to highlight detail where it would be dark. One other thing to accont is that this model is meant for dark screen resoloution to use the shaders more effectively to lighten it. I havent seen how the alpha looks ingame yet, and I will lighten it from their. I am happy to release this once i get a bit more feedback and would like to know what extra features could I include (npc support) for it to be a skin release of t least qualit If not accuracy I mention as well, that if I did get this Boba movie accurate it wouldn't suit the game against other assetes? Anyway I know what parts your getting at being lightened so don't think I am ignoring that. It is just that when I make this image light and use different greens (at the moment the green in this skin is actually cyan blue desaturated) it does not look like it does in modview. I will get a few screens up before release, one in lighter desaturated images and one done with what I have in mind. I do really appreciate the opinions expressed and will try make this as realistic as I can, but It is my first skin. Notice their is absolutely no black in my model. every thing has been done with texture effects of hi detail and I am enjoying the process. I tried to get it so that it is textured enough and detailed enough to be able to really zoom in and still look high detail aswell as out, to be honest I havent seen this level of detail much in ravens own base so I take it as I am doing alright so far. -A little bit of admitable pride their.   22. This is the final screen of my progress , tomorrow I will work on the alpha transparency, so that he looks shiny in different amounts on certain parts, mainly the exposed metal and visor. Then I will try my hand at this uploading business once I have found permissions and written a readme? I think that is the process .
  23. Well I have a year to do nothing but mod this game. If I don't know something I try my best with jka because it is a useful medium that you can expand on in many different ways. would like some stuff to do to start of small so I will try to take a request see how i go with it and see how long it takes me to complete then after a few I hopefully will have done enough work to help boost everyone,s projects a bit, not just the ones that seem to have following. (I Do not mean my own) and do not expect any payment for work, just to learn a bit and see others learn. I will set a few guidelines to follow by if you request however. I am not good on maps or modelling, I have read a lot on them but not made content succesfully yet and wil take awhile with these aspect as well as coding, but I intend to be at least useful in knowing the terminology. So Don't ask me to do those things yet please, but feel free to ask advice and test my knowledge on them as I will likely try to help and learn very quickly my own limits of this game. I hope to learn about being a effective forum member aswell as I percieve that it is probably where I lack knowledge in the most. From what I learn and as I help your mod I ask that I can start a tutorial of each common problem and aspects you where having trouble with, to help you to learn yourself, for your own future projects. This way I avoid doing all the work without you learning and hopefully others can learn from reviewing the process My credentials? . I can animate small scale,like simple animations.i know how to use dragon and gla merge effectively enough to get anims in game. edit skins well in gimp and understand alpha layers etc. Can use audacity and voice act Understand the file structure know the star wars universe fairly well, as well as the game itself and It's mechanics. can edit most files effectively to do with jka but struggle at creating new content at the moment in some areas. I hope to learn by helping create some quality content, as I will work on something excusively until the requestee is happy or ready to do t themeselves and I want to produce content at a level and with the grace that hapslash inyri and other people who's work has single handely kept me playing jka after this year of what is a lot of work for me. I know that it is a immense work load I am setting here for myself if i want to help others, but i feel I will benefit from what I learn and from being able to download more new content for this game in all fields.
