Scraped off the rust after a few weeks of not touching jaMME, I've noticed a few AA issues, where I think I messed with the settings slightly.. some of the camera work particularly the triple kill on factory could be better, but overall pleased with the result.

Are you locking the dof, just like you lock the camera?

The only reason I say this, is because I was pulling my hair out before I realised this.

Went with Raz0rs suggestion although I have no background in modelling.

Simply copied the noweap.md3 and dropped it into a pk3 after renaming it. Seems to have worked.

Hey all,

Was wondering if someone could help me please? I'm trying to make a Frag Video of a few Instagib games I've played in recently but the problem is a lot of shots have people spawning in the background and the large green protect/invulnerability bubble is too eye catching.

I've tried editing the shader files, and I can only seem to get rid of the outer ring of the bubble, not the inner? I'm stumped so I'm turning to you guys .

If anyone knows of such mod, would really appreciate a link!

In chase mode the character as you say always seems to be centre screen, I didn't want the character to be in centre of the screen for certain bits, so I just messed about with the camera mode.

When I say 'changed' in the previous post, I mean as in a specific focus/centred on a characters head/leg/arm, rather than their chest/centre of model, as you can't get close to the model with zoom as you just end up looking at their chest?

Not sure if I'm making any sense haha, I'm away for a few days but can post screenies when back home, to try and explain haha.

Aye, I decided to use the Camera mode, in the chase mode it always seems to focus on the chest area of the character? Can this be changed?

You can change the walk speed?

Looking at the video it looks like the DOF also works on a timeline so you can pull in and out of focus as you wish?

After playing around it seems if you animate the below control in After Effects you can get a good pull focus effect.

Sorry for the double post, not sure you'll see this otherwise.

Is it possible to animate the depth of field? So like pull focus from the back of the shot to the front?

@@ent, again sorry if this is a bit of a rookie question... Depth of Field, I just can't seem to get it to work? Is it only applied at the rendering/capture stage?

I've set mme_depthfocus 4000 and mme_depthrange 2000 and just don't see any difference (inc. when rendering) Are these the only commands I need to use to activate DOF?

I've been looking for an easy way to create cinematic JKA movies for a long long time. I've used PUGMOD in the past, and whilst I could use it I never felt like I was actually in full control of it  .

This mod is fantastic and has definitely renewed my interest in the game, so for that I thank you.

I'm still learning the features, I think I understand Chase, Camera and Timeline modes now. I'm in the process of learning about DOF and motion blur but struggling so you may get a few rookie questions about it (so forgive me in advance!)

Here is a movie I made whilst testing out your mod, any technical tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. (It's a slightly melodramatic video but that's ok, because it's not claiming not to be!)

I am most likely doing something that is simple completely wrong, so I beg your patience with me. I just need someone with a kind heart to get me up and running again.

Background

Ever since I got JKA from my Grandma back in the Christmas of '03, I've been obsessed. I often opted to join smaller clans for the ultimate sense of brother/sisterhoodship. However, 3 years ago, I found myself heading off to University, so I decided to join a larger clan (I saw it as some sort of retirement home.. with weekly BBQ's and shuffleboard) where my activity didn't need to be as high... needless to say Uni all but destroyed my activity. However, now that Uni is all over I want to hit JKA hard, and become an active member of the community, and with JKHub this should be easier than ever before. However, due to my course at Uni and attempting to go freelance, I bought a Mac (for Final Cut Pro and Apple Color), I wasn't worried too much about JKA since I saw it in the Apple shop. However I've had an issue...

Problem

Following all the threads/posts I've scoured through online, I need to replace the JKA App with Rev E App right? Only the issue I seem to be having is that JKA just won't install. When I try to install I get the following message 'You can't open the application Install Jedi Academy because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.'. I get the message when using both the game discs and a downloaded copy of the game.
