I agree, the camera angles were horrible, fighting was awful and long, however it was the first jka machinima I ever saw, and on one of my favourite maps...actually the first map for jka I downloaded...or was that taris_rp that I first got? No, I think it was this one, carida_academy. So I figured I would post it.
  2. A machinima I found by ChaosXUnleashed. Definitely not the most polished machinima, some think it's terribly done, which in a way I suppose it is, a lot of things that could be better, in fact the guy had terrible aim (as a stormtrooper should XD) but I enjoyed watching it non the less.   6. Since I never beat the first one, I'm playing it now.
  7. I played both but never completed the first version. I would like to remind you, that there is at least a good 30-40 hours of gameplay if you play both. Good luck
  8. Oh one thing I would mention. The lost maps version has tons more content, however, I would like to say that two levels "The Old Factory" and "...I forget the name of the other one." are bugged and cannot be completed. (Actually, I wouldn't even call them bugged, more like just...incomplete). However, you can probably just skip over these levels, but otherwise the mod is awesome! This was mainly because he this is just a beta he posted, but the mod is well worth playing. He even changed a cvar which allows you to pick up dropped sabers from enemies, although I prefer my saber.   9. Same, the physics in SP feel so fluid and juicy, much better than in MP. Have you guys ever played the SP campaign, "Escape from yavin IV, the lost maps?" The campaign comes to about 300MB, but it is friggen huge, the campaign is much longer than jka, the enemies are extremely challenging, sure the campaign needs some work, but it would be perfect for coop. The way it is set up just makes it that way.

And so, the source code was taken down.

  14. So I downloaded Ultra Utility and want to use it with jka. When I start up jka with ultra utility on, none of the ingame commands work. It sais all are unknown. So I tried running JKA as admin. I got the black screen issue again, however, when I typed "/!power" in the console, UU's power went off! This only works if I run jka as admin, but whenever I do, I get that black screen problem! Please help! . EDIT: Apparently B15 seems to work fine, but I want B16 or 17 to work! EDIT 2: B15 doesn't work, the only command that works is !power, all other commands fail to register.

  16. This is just a suggestion, albeit an odd one, however wouldn't it be nice if there was a server dedicated to this community? A place where we could socialize with one another within JKA? That would be nice. Just a suggestion XD.

It's the best map that takes place on an asteroid that I have seen. It consists of a giant racetrack on an asteroid, has a bar, command center, and a big description in the levelshot about the story of the asteroid. It even has an indiana jones temple, full of traps and everything. Don't confuse this map with asteroid H5, it's a different one. I couldn't find it anywhere else, other than KOTF XD. WHY THE HECK ISN'T THIS MAP ON HERE? The map priorities should be ffa_sarlacc, jedi_rift_enclave, and asteroid_77, and carida...actually the priorities should be all of them, they are all awesome maps. My apologies for this big post, I wasn't really sure if we were supposed to help eachother find files, or suggest files to add to the site. Either way, I doubt anyone has asteroid 77, so I order you to download it, it is a very...interesting map...

  19. We still need part 3. Part 2 was awesome too though. When lucasfiles is "finished" with maintenance, I'll check to see if I can get part 3 there, assuming it is there of course, it should be, I think that's where I downloaded it from.

  21. I agree though, Tim did put a hell of alot of time into the UI, at least give him credit for that. As for MBII's saber system, I totally agree! I've been saying this for awhile, MBII's saber system is terrible. Slash, slap, slash, slap, slash slash, slap. "Oh, but your just saying that because you can't duel in MBII, you have to perfect block and all"....it sucks, it really does. Move your angle to block the lightsaber? What about when the enemy player runs behind you and you can't turn fast enough to block him? I'm sorry if I insulted the coders of that system, you obviously put a fair amount of work into it, especially for people who are used to the system and are good at it, but really, it could use a change! The best saber system available for JKA, in my opinion, is OJP Enhanced. The saber system is easier to understand, MBII is based off it, and if you get hit with a saber while running, you instantly die, or lose most of your Dodge points. It looks so much better too, even though 1.3 is still kinda buggy, but the HUD looks a lot better, in my opinion.   22. Yes, a lot of old maps that were only found on pcgamemods can be found on DGS maps. I wasn't even around during pcgamemods, whenever I went there all I got was a picture of two children playing video games . I sent an email to the creator of the imperial outpost SP maps, but the mail didn't go through, he must be using a different mail now . I do remember downloading parts 2 and 3 of the imperial outpost maps from somewhere, it might have been lucasfiles, but currently lucasfiles is down. It's such a shame when great maps are lost in JKA. It's almost like "The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask Debug Rom" that was leaked by Ced. Took me forever to find a link to it, should still be up though.
  23. What about OJP 1.3? XD. Quite buggy, but I managed to get a build of it, the HUD looks quite nice. My opinion on saber systems: OJP<BASE<MBII Sorry, from what I've seen, MBII's is just bad. People will disagree with me, but all I see is slash,slap,slash slash slap...
