I think Ping would appreciate it if we raised land in he middle of the Atlantic and hosted server there , fair ping for all I am sorry, I didn't want to devalue siltation, I thought a joke would enhance the mood. This looks cool. Are people allowed to be on there to train and not for just matches?

eezstreet - yes but i think i have solved this issue of mine enisform - i donwloaded 7th Nov from buildbot builds Guys I cracked it turns out JA+ and JA++ do work as intended in this directory!!!!! --> C:\Users\<<user>>\Documents\My Games : This openjk folder was the cause, files in here looked fine, but this directory I think was somehow not right, so I let it make a blank new one. I reinstalled game, and renamed this folder to old. each time I used openjk and launched the server that would make me crash. Installed patch, then OpenJK - worked Installed custom pk3s and cfgs etc - Worked installed JA+ (defualt cfg) - Worked Installed JA+(my own cfgs) - Worked Installed JA++ (Defualt cfg) - Worked I am now constantly using the exe of OpenJK and it works multiple times. I think this issue is cracked, and I think I shoulda checked this sooner, maybe me moving from Steam version to normal disk based did this, Im not sure!! Something to note down Dev's, when a Switch happens from Steam to Diskabsed or vice versa, that openjk needs ot be replaced (ofc you knew this, but if I say it it doesnt make me sound so dumb ) Thanks to anyone who gave their time in helping/answering!

Yes I did this, and confirmed it as working! But when launching Openjk as opposed to jamp, nope! devmap no work either! when I launch jamp.exe and load as a mod openjk, it works wheni launch openjkx86.exe and try to join any server, it doesnt work!!! now i am confused as hell!!!

In antcipation of this, I tried using JA++ as well, same result. I will try devmap and update this space!

OpenJK (build of I think few days ago) JA+ any server really?

Hi guys, I kinda failed using the wrong system to report a question rather than a bug, and I apologise for wasting time/resources because of this. So maybe I will post this here, in-case it is not a bug again and its a user error on my part (most likely). Ironic thing is I can figure out errors on the server side of this mod and I get stumped on the user side, something wrong with me? who knows! I have fresh install of JKA (From CDs) - Openjk on and I am running the openjkx86 shortcut When I try to go into server, it crashes on me and throws me into desktop Event viewer shows me this: System: Win 8.1 Pro (all updates done as of post date), ATi 7970 3GB (Latest Drivers, 13.9) Any help is appreciated, thanking in advance for your time

Szico the xxx.xxx.nhs.uk is the Outlook anywhere URL so that saves you a bit of hassle. What you could do is try and hope they matched in and out, although I know from expierence NHS wont do this (One particular NHS is one of my clients) If this is indeed an exchange setup, you could attempt to identify OWA ( IT is absoultely needed for you to cnnnect via your phone the way you do) Try this: https://xxx.xxxx.nhs.uk/owa or https://xxx.xxx.nhs.uk/exchange IF either of these load a certificate prompt and lead you to a login, grats you just found OWA Link Get back to me with your progress so I can continue!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9II6PqkIHBw Szico I read your post some more: here are the requirements for outlook 2007: (You will need the following info from the company responsible for hosting the exchange server and your mailbox account, this would be username, password, email address, local server name, OutlookAnywhere URL (usually OWA (Outlook Web Access) Url) Autodiscover Method Start Control Panel Start Mail ( OR Mail 32-bit) Click Show Profiles Add a new one 1.) Next 2.) Select Microsoft Exchange Account, click Next, 3.) Fill in your name (Can be anything), email address, password for your MAILBOX twice 4.) Autodiscover will look to see if this organisation has Autodiscover added, if so everything will do its magic for you 5.) Finish once you see all 3 green ticks, and no messages about trying for an UNENCRYPTED connection 6.) Press okay and make sure Outlook is set to load this new profile 7.) Open Outlook Manual Method IF YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK internally as EXCHANGE SERVER Start Control Panel Start Mail ( OR Mail 32-bit) Click Show Profiles Add a new one 1.) Next 2.) Select Microsoft Exchange Account, click Next, then click on Manually Configure Server Settings 3.) Server (This is the LOCAL server name, not web facing) 4.) Username is the prefix of the email address, BUT DO NOT CLICK CHECK NAME 5.) Click more settings 6.) Connection Tab, click on this 7.) Tick box for "Connect to Exchange using HTTP" and click on its button for more settings 8.) Tick the boxes for Fast and Slow connections 9.) In the URL field, this is the OUTLOOK ANYWHERE Field (The web facing DNS record for this mail server) 10.) Authentication is usually set to BASIC 11.) OK and then tick on Okay again. 12.) Click check user-name and it should ask for your credentials 13.) These are credentials for the mailbox, once inserted correctly Outlook will successfully add by underlining both server and username 14.) Next and finish 15.) Press okay and make sure Outlook is set to load this new profile 16.) Open Outlook F YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK internally as EXCHANGE SERVER (sharing a similar local IP address, this can also be done with VPN as well) Start Control Panel Start Mail ( OR Mail 32-bit) Click Show Profiles Add a new one 1.) Next 2.) Select Microsoft Exchange Account, click Next, then click on Manually Configure Server Settings 3.) Server (This is the LOCAL server name, not web facing) 4.) Username is the prefix of the email address, BUT DO NOT CLICK CHECK NAME 5.) Click check user-name and it should ask for your credentials 6.) These are credentials for the mailbox, once inserted correctly Outlook will successfully add by underlining both server and username 7.) Next and finish 8.) Press okay and make sure Outlook is set to load this new profile 9.) Open Outlook Let me know here how you get on!!! Equally if you need Live assistance, PM me and ill get to you on Skype or something! Good luck

Szico maybe I can help since this is what I do for a living ( I rip apart more Exchange servers than Microsoft applies updates) As I understand it you want a Exchange Activesync connection a desktop client of your choosing, right???
-
What if it enters a tffa mode and limit is reached, would it carry on then too?
-
and would this affect anything if you had to customary change the map to anything?
-
What is the best way to implement a map cycle without affecting peoples ping and comm to the server?? My scenario is this: Server contains default maps and Sithcouncilv2, Jedicoucnilgcx. I want map cycle of ONLY Jedicouncilgcx, ffa2, ffa3, ffa5, SithCOuncilv2, For a personally owned server!!! Goal is: To load only set specific maps even though there are others in that directory!

DOnt say shady, ppl will think its me XD We experience them too, mostly cause they like to hate. I follow development of OpenJK, really is progressing nicely!

Shadzy replied to Mr. Dinnertime's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
avoid AotW, just awful customer service there! -
Am I the only one who sees this with a pinch of salt?? The modding side is brilliant, what about the exploit side and the new ability to riddle with more damaging things like Q3 limitations?
-
What does this mean for games llike JKA?
