  1. Hello there guys, after around 2 years of creating things in other games, and countless hours wasted in MMO rpg games, I decided to come back to JKA modding for a short bit. 

     

    For starters I decided to implement a couple of vehicles (WEll.. actually all of the "All terain" seires). But it turns out, I do not quite remember as much as I thought I did, and even though I am sure I did everything correctly, the new vehicle is not found by the game.

     

    I have Added new .veh file in the ext_data/vehicles and dummy .npc file in the ext_data/npcs but it looks like I am forgeting something there. Anywyas hope someone reminds me what else I should have done, since tbh I have no idea. I checked all the folder names for possible mistakes, and didn't find any.

  2. Doubt that, will test in a second, but making a wall is a lot easier from the mapping perspective (and easier for the game engine) than actually making a block that is full inside.

    But sadly you are right, the buildings are actually full inside. 

    Well then guess nothing out of this idea will come out then, that's a shame that the only good for RP city maps are actually not lore friendly ^^

  3. So I have been wondering for a long time, and never found anything. So I'll just assume that no one before did actually try to edit the Mp/Siege_desert map.

     

    Since the doors on most of the houses are just textures, I imagine this wouldn't be very easy, but if someone actually wanted to bother and "open up" more homes on that map, a lot of lugormod and RolePlay communities would be very grateful.

     

    What I a asking for is to take as many homes on the map, and add them texture from the inside, so when someone is inside the home, it does not have transparent walls. (No furniture or other decorations inside needed, just textures)

    If that person feels like bothering with it actually removing the door part of the model, would also be great. No need to add functional doors in the place, just a hole to enter would be enough.

    If that person would be dedicated, also adding a wall or two inside bigger homes would be very appreciated, so they can have more than one room, Second floor if possible? ^^

    And well if that person would be very very dedicated, "opening" the windows would be awesome.

     

    I know this is quite a bit of work, but like I said if someone actually bothered, even to just fill the insides with textures, we could at lest use teleports to put players inside the homes, and make the ultimate Lugormod / Roleplay map :) 

  4. So 3 years later the time has come, and finally an article about Single Player Cvars is coming along. 

    I do not have much time to work on it now, so if anyone want's to help like you did before, I will be very grateful, and you guys will be properly credited for your work. 

     

    If only interested in cvars, and not interested in helping, just check the site from time to time to check the updates :)

  5. Would it be possible, to create a Server .cfg file that would call out another sever .cfg file AFTER a certain period of time, or at least after the map is over?

    I know it is possible to have it call another cfgs that are supposed to work along with the server config (Like custom bot cfgs), but would it be possible to create a CFG that would call a cfg for diffent gammemode after some time ?

     

    For eg : FFA.cfg is default cfg, after a certain time passes, server calls out CTF.cfg and so on. Any ideas?

  7. I would surely donate if I still played JKA. Sadly though I do not do so anymore. Mount & Blade devoured me. 

     

    @@Ping - I know you see it completely different than I do, but is there really any need for duel servers to be well admined? Most players would probably still play on the ESL ones, well you could probably refer them to that one. But my bet is that well admined FFA server is of greater need. Or Siege - this mode is WAY underrated.

     

    But like I said, I have completely different point of view/

    Still it would be worth just trying these :

     

    Since I couldn't find falcon, I searched if other vehs were supposed to have player accessible turrets. Turs out Lambda shuttle had, but they // them. 

    Most probably that means, they are not implemented, but someone could check it in the code (I don't have access to it from this computer :( )

  9. @@AshuraDX - While I can not tell if you actually CAN operate a vehicle with more than two players. It was surely meant to be so. So it just might be worth a try.

     

    For some reason I can't find it. But the the official .veh file for the Millennium Falcon , which was cut from the game, had two player accessible turrets. I'll search for it a little more, and if I find it I'll post you exact lines used in here. 

    Of course it is possible, that the text in the *.veh file is just an unimplemented feature, and it doesn't work.

  10. Just use ClanMod. CM is the best.

     

    When it comes to fighting its only a little different, damages are a bit higher, but you can set them by RCon if you want. Also automatic blocking is reduced, but on the other hand you canblock maualy with a little timing.

     

    And now the server admin things :

    - Very good NPC support, they are smarter, aim better, work in most cases, have friendly fire, can be controled by any player (you can set ammount etc.)

    - Various commands, inculing basic entity spawning (effects mostly, models are possile to spwan, but you cant set their model boxy-thingy size)

     - Nolip

     - Slay

     - Insult silence

     - Freeze

     - empower

     - Making player melee only

     - many many many many other

     

    - can set starting weapons : saber, melee, pistol in ANY cofiguraton you want. (so you can spawn with DL-44 only, good for RP maps with saber spawns on the map.)

     

    - Clan chat, may set server to a clan meeting if you want people to behave for a moment without making everyone sleep

    - Jedi Maste, Captre the Yalsamari, coop (requires help of an admin to work properly, but some missions are playable even without him.)

     

    Etc. etc. et.

    And if you want a mod that changes gameplay, Force Mod III for ever.

I always wanted to host big RP coruscant server, with drug dealing, police, causual jobs, bars, owning shops (money goes to shops storage) and homes, I even started to learn how to implement this things using lugormod, but there isn't a single map that would be good for such big roleplay community, so yeah...

  12. Well... I don't like Rosh at all, but this is kinda nice idea. When I get home, I'll take assets and audacity, correcting just a few lines 2 models and some sounds - ad you an play as Rosh, and kill jaden. Also with a little effort sound montage, higher-ups will refer to you as Rosh. 

     

    Well I think I'll do this in about two weeks, unless I get to my JKA any sooner.

  13. I have just uploaded few maps from my... well pretty old Archives, cos few Mount and Blade clanmates of mine want to play JKA, I was going to link them every one of these maps but, well I find your lack of maps very disturbing ^^

     

    I didn't manage to find only three of my old maps :

    The five gates

    Naboo hills 2.1 (This one I must have missed, Impossile it wasn't yet uploaded)

    Surf Turbo 2

     

     

    This list will problably grow, after I'll expand servers maps arselnal.

  14. Yes it does work, and it WOULD make NPC spawn useless if someone found out how to give values to the spawn command.

    npc spawn ID name  is nothing compared to spawn NPC_KYLE  witch allows to disable Ai, make NPC a cinematic one, or fully script their AI. No one know how to do it though, so you can only spawn an default entity.

  15. Well... I turned JKHUB on, like I do every day, and quickly checked newest posts. Than I saw Topic named Rancor's Site (My reaction was something like O.O) than I read first post and I fell from my chair.

    I had no idea anyone still reads my old site. Especially it was never fully translated to English. 

     

    Anyways I was preparing Multiplayer cmd list, or cvar list, I don't remember now but never finished it, it is probably still on my PC among many other unfinished documents.

     

    Also, I'll be requesting to have my site added to resource list soon, if you really want me to.

    Thanks for the support dusty, you really made my fall from my chair (Still writing this crouching on the ground for some reason, its kinda stupid when I think about it since my chair is few inches to the left)
