I have that emulator, went back to the console because not all games run well with it. Some games just flat out don't work at all. Besides, we're social at my house with my roommates, it's more fun to have a console hooked up to a huge TV in the living room.
According to the compatibility chart, only 3% of all ps2 games have trouble, so you must be playing obscure ones. Fair enough also on the social aspect. Netplay on pcsx2 is a bit wonky at times (lots of desyncs).
