I don't know. Limbs being chopped around gets a bit old and ridiculous too. The lightsabers this time had a lot more weight to them. Seemed a lot more intimidating. Its just a new form of dueling that doesn't rely on limb shots, which is a nice new direction IMO.
But Rey's aggressive lunges made no sense at all. For someone picking up the lightsaber for the first time, her focus should have been on defence, in a style similar to Ben's in ANH. What she was doing should have made her dead right then and there. If we're talking about swordsmanship...
I really liked the Kylo vs. Finn fight, even though it was extremely short. The Rey fight looked awful - and I think Kylo should've won, nevertheless, but only injure Rey.
