Been away for a while, implemented:Hello !
About http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers/
are there url keys to add filters ?
for exemple, http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers/?fs_game=japlus to display only japlus servers,
or http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers/?fs_game=mbii to display only mbii servers,
or http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers/?g_gametype=8 to display only ctf servers ?
It could be a great idea
It could allow other website, clans and forums to display all opened servers of a mod or gametype without having to code themself a serverlist.
Jeditracker is good but you need to know what server you want to display. If the IP is dynamic or if there are a lot of different members who launch their own server, this could be useful.
thanks you
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?g_gametype=7 (please note that there are number=mode differences between JA and JO!)
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?protocol=26 (26 = JA 1.01, 25 = JA 1.00, 16 = JO 1.04, 15 = JO 1.02)
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?g_needpass=0 (or 1)
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?map=mp/ffa1 (exact map name)
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?hostname=OFFICIAL (same as for gamename, look below)
You can give multiple parameters like this: http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?g_gametype=3&protocol=26 (duel servers for JA)
I cannot get fs_game value because I'm not asking servers for getinfo (I'm using getstatus which doesnt return fs_game), instead I've added 'gamename' which searches for given string in mod name's.
For example:
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?gamename=JA%2B will show JA+ servers
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?gamename=Mod%20v2.4%20B7 will show JA+ v2.4 servers (unfurtunately usage of special symbols might not work for more complex strings)
http://my.jacklul.com/jkhubservers?gamename=Movie%20Battles will show Movie Battles servers
You cannot use special characters in url bar you need to replace them with special codes, refer to http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.asp for info.
I don't feel like doing some advanced stuff for this list, I think this should do. I have better stuff to do recently.

You guy should consider writing some kind of info topic on jedi outcast and jedi academy steam community hubs and try contacting one of global moderators to sticky that topics.

Also Xfire provides a good server browser for a lot of games including JA.
Too bad Xfire sucks since it changed owner.

Yes, but is the most widely used browser so not supporting it is going to look bad.
It's Windows XP's fault. XP is old and not supported.

Been a while since I used download manager, it was http://www.flashget.com.

This is a rather unusual request, and I don't expect anyone to do it. I want to re-install Movie Battles II, but I have an unstable internet connection that will inevitably fail before the download completes (I've already tried several times). Can somebody upload the mod in individual pieces that I can download one at a time? I would post this in the MBII forums but my browser doesn't like them. (Security certificate issue.)
Ever tried download manager?
About the certificate issue, you're most likely using an outdated browser, you should just add it as exception and browse the site normally. If you're using Windows XP then, well, time to upgrade.

Since when shell account sellers allow game servers... not to mention it is basically bad idea to run game server on vps shared with other people where others can abuse CPU/RAM/Bandwidth.
-
so you have vps without root access ?
Shared VPS ? Shell account ?

Pick Debian or Ubuntu.

1.5Ghz, 256Ram, 10GB HDD should handle it, at least that is example box I used few years ago, took me like few months testing various companies till I found the perfect host who doesnt oversell and dont place VPS tight on the box so the VPS worked without any visible lags.
Most people say OpenVZ powered VPS are rubbish for game servers, in some cases it is true - host puts as many VPSes on the box as possible so sometimes your server might experience 1-2sec hardware lag. If you want your VPS to work as fast as normal server you should search for VPS using Xen technology, it will be more expensive compared to OpenVZ tho.
You might also search for some cheap deals: http://lowendtalk.com/categories/offers but please be cautious because some of them might have hidden costs or rules saying that host can take over stuff you put on your VPS, there's lots of legit deals on this site tho.

For list that long I wouldn't even consider adding manual refresh or live details.

Hello JKHub!
I'm here to throw an idea!
The idea:
Server list with Mod/Gamemode filtering + support jkhub's and raven's master server + connect app:
LoU recently made small app that registers URL handler for my MBII Server List, you just click the server you want connect to and game is launched and you are connecting to the server, with jamp and openjk support!
Having full JKA/JK2 server list on JKHub would be nice, not to mention how useful it will become when raven's master server will go temporary or permanently down.
What do you think?
//forced to make this topic by LoU, just because I'm the creator of the weblist :C

For me as I never heard of this brand its ''noname' router.
You might try setting different modes (g/b/n), setting WPA2-PSK (AES), disabling Wireless Isolation if such option exists. You might also want to verify how many networks spam you around (and which channels) - theres lots of apps for ios and android out there.

with OpenJK its openjk.cfg, not jampconfig.cfg
and is probably stored in Documents/My Games/OpenJK/[mod]/

but what if we don't want to use OpenJK?
somebody will create jamp.exe patcher eventually
JKHub Master Server

Hi guys. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Just wanted to say that I've added "experimental" servercache.dat generator on my list - not compatible with OpenJK, only Steam and (probably) retail JO & JA will work. (OpenJK already uses jkhub's master(?) so I don't think there is a point in adding support for it...)
This is probably the best solution for non-OpenJK users when Raven's master server is offline.
All you have to do is to download it (link is at the bottom of the server list page) and overwrite the file in GameData directory, then launch the game and click "Refresh List" in-game to refresh it and filter the servers for your current game version, mod etc. Don't hit "Get New List" or it will erase it all and you will have to download it again.
Generated list contains: hostnames, map names, current and max players, gametype/mode and if the server is passworded or not, obviously contains addresses too, pings are randomized.
Some hostnames might look differently because of the utf8 encoding, "Refresh List" is the fix here.
it works \( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)/
I've tested it on both Steam JO and JA and it seemed to be working fine.
Enjoy and report any issues. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
