zOrg Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 If somebody could do it, would be a really nice addition to JKA's droids selection: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/WED_Treadwell_repair_droidTwo versions would be nice: one with many arms, another with one. Appriopriate sounds would be cool too.The most tricky part I guess would be to make the wheels rotate and a moving tread as well. BTW. Did SJC already released his Luke Skywalker/Lars Homestead map? I seem to have missed it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JihnzN7JiM
GLTh3Pr0 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I would love to see this variant too:https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwjlj_WexNzNAhVCOxQKHXxXC9wQjBwIBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fvignette4.wikia.nocookie.net%2Fstarwars%2Fimages%2F1%2F17%2FWED_Septoid_anh.png%2Frevision%2Flatest%3Fcb%3D20130318062911&psig=AFQjCNHavFNDDCMomwBfyMuCYH89SOgiUQ&ust=1467815299620937
Archangel35757 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 there you go: http://www.scifi3d.com/details.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=13&key=137 Now you just need someone to rig & animate it and compile it to Ghoul2 format.
GLTh3Pr0 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 In this website I found the one-armed variant too http://www.scifi3d.com/details.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=13&key=267
zOrg Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 Well, those are nice 3d models, but animation and compilation are far beyond my mediocre skills...
Archangel35757 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 @zOrg - plenty of tutorials out there (Blender, Softimage ModTool, 3dsMax, etc.) you're more likely to get help from others if you undertake it yourself... everybody is busy.
Ramikad Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 The most tricky part I guess would be to make the wheels rotate and a moving tread as well. Not necessarily - make two instances of the tread and wheels, one static and the other animated. Idle animation would keep the static version down, and the animated version hidden just above them. Moving animation would move down the animated version and move up the static version.

I shall begin familiarizing myself with that XSI Tool then. Archangel35757 likes this
